After Reception scene

Maxence watched Randolph dance about with his wife Mandy amidst the crowd of attendees at the hotel ballroom, he couldn't help but notice that Randolph still seemed torn inside after his confession at the church, this was all just getting to him now and decided to leave. Once the dance was over the people applauded and Randolph noticed that Maxence had disappeared

 "Randolph you alright?"

Mandy asked they go back over to the table he was wanting to leave her as Warren noticed the doctor's absence and the way Randolph was acting. Randolph went out into the hall area and spotted the doctor getting his coat and scarf.

"Max, where are you going?"

Randolph went over to the doctor who was placing his jacket on pretending to not hear his friend.

"Max say something!"

Randolph grabbed him that was enough to get the doctors attention, the longing touch on the arm was interacting Max yearned for. It wasn't forceful Max could tell his friend is feeling rather weak.

"Randolph I got things to do, I stayed for as long as I could. I'm tired,"

Maxence moved away from his friend who gave him a disappointed look.

"Max after everything I told you, it pains me...deeply,"

Randolph said in hush tones into the doctor's ear. Maxence pretty much turned away from his friend

"It doesn't make up for the amount of times you decide to walk this path, you forget the real reason why we are here. Go back and enjoy your reception,"

The doctor headed out of the lobby of the hotel into the cold winter air. Maxence left like getting away from Randolph, from this all he wanted was for at least one lifetime with the man he longs to be with. After standing in the snow he waved down at the cab though he didn't realise that he wasn't alone.

"Taxi," Maxence waved to the lucky one who had pulled up, he felt someone behind him.

"Max I'm coming with you,"

Randolph breathed as the doctor's eyebrows furrowed and he wanted to push his friend away.

"Randolph your wife everyone is wondering where you gone,"

Max climbed into the taxi trying to prevent his friend from joining him.

"I don't want to, Max please let me accompany you home,"

Randolph clutched his chest a little and his voice was kind of raspy as he was feeling pain. The doctor realised his friend was in pain and reluctantly allowed him into the taxi seat next to him.

"You better be in pain,"

Max shifted over and noticed the expression on his friend's face.

"Sir, whereabouts you want me to take you?" the taxi driver asked the doctor, giving the driver address he knew he needed to do something.

"We should tell your wife, the guest, your in pain,"

Maxence went to grab his phone though Randolph hand gripped his wrist

"Max please...I know I put you through a lot, that confession I mean it,"

Randolph leaned against the doctor as the taxi pulled away from the curb into the traffic.

"Randolph you didn't need to go ahead with this, you always pick this lifestyle regardless of your weak health condition,"

Maxence felt his friend inches closure to him, take in his face soft curls that crown his head. His green eyes changed in the light as they travelled down the street. The shadows flashing by them, the struggle to keep space between them.

"I know Max, the reason why I do this is because I've been set in my ways. Think about it Max if we were to have more. I don't want it to be with this broken shell of a man,"

Randolph blue eyes stared into his eyes his hand subtly laid upon the doctors cradling it in his hold.

"So you're not in pain you were just faking it,"

Maxence said as he stared out the window avoiding Randolph's gaze. Randolph knew that Maxence was trying to remain distant, he knew what he was doing would be a mistake he would regret later. The taxi soon reached Maxence apartment block, the snow was slowly falling outside as Maxence paid the fare and looked at his friend.

"Can I walk you to your door?"

Randolph's hands still grasped Maxence's, the doctor climbed out of the cab into the cold, Randolph followed as the taxi pulled away.

"I wish you were like this earlier before you decided to get married, you know we don't have to follow the rules,"

Maxence opened the door as they walked into the lobby out of the cold. Randolph came up closer to the doctor as they drifted over to the elevator, there weren't many people around so they were alone. Randolph really wanted to be closer to Max, his hand trying to hold his, these hands he touched whenever he had the chance to, he wanted more. The touch of that small slender waist, he swore Maxence was breath taking.

The doctor's hand tried to pull away though he felt guilty for allowing this. The elevator soon opened to show an empty hallway dimly lit. They exited the lift and walked down until the doctor reached his apartment door.

"Randolph, look I want you to go back. You clearly don't need me. I bet your wife is going to call you,"

Maxence said as he fumbled about in his coat pocket to find his key. Randolph wrapped his arm around Maxence's waists stopping him, the hand rested against his abdomen

"Max I want you, please let me in. I left my phone behind. She can't find me..."

Randolph whispered into the doctor's ear. Maxence breath hitched, even though he had a drink or two the warm feeling pooling inside him was getting hard to ignore. Maxence found his keys and Randolph's hand shifted away as Maxence turned to face him.

"I can't believe this Randolph..... They are probably going to try and call me, what I'm going to tell your wife,"

Max stated firmly though Randolph face was inches away from his feeling his warm breath caress his skin.

"Shhhh just don't answer it, please Maxence,"

Randolph leaned in and planted a kiss on the doctors lips, Randolph pulled away his hands settled on the doctors slender frame as he was pressed against the door away. Maxence stared into Randolph's eyes, he should be mad at him though he went in for another kiss, this time was a little more before he pulled away.

"Max..."

"Randolph..I think we better stop here...."

Max placed his hands against Randolph's chest giving a gentle push. Randolph backed away a little letting Max go, his eyes looking longing wanting more.

"I'll come back," Maxence leaned against the door watching Randolph give him a smile and went back into the elevator.
