Where the fuck? I said as I was trying to find my terminal in the huge airport which, luckily for me, was filled with people because it was fucking Christmas. I'm starting to regret this to be completely honest. It's not that I don't want to see my parents or Y/n for that matter. No, I'm actually kind of excited to see Y/n. I want to see her. I want her presence. It's just that I have a lot of bad memories there, and I don't think I ever want to go back there.

Then my phone rang. I put my suitcase down and did the same with my backpack. I checked my phone and saw that my mom was calling me. I sighed and put the phone to my ear.

''Yes?" I asked into the phone

''Hange, honey, are you at the airport?'' My mom asked

''Yeah, I am. I'm just kind of lost'' I said as I was still looking for any help I could get to find my terminal

''That's good to hear. I thought you wouldn't come'' My mom said with relief in her voice

''Why wouldn't I?'' I asked

''Because you have been trying to ignore and avoid us for the last three years'' My mom said

''Mom, I haven't be-''

''Don't deny it, Hange! We both know it's true'' My mom said not letting me finish my sentence

''Okay, I have to go now. See you later, mom'' I said into the phone

''Love you, honey'' My mom said as she hung up

''Fuck this'' I said as I threw my head back

''Do you need any help?'' Someone said

I turned around and saw a tall guy looking down on me

''Oh yeah, umm, I'm looking for terminal 3'' I said

''Me too! Quite the coincidence right?'' He said with a huge smile

''There is no such thing as a coincidence'' I said

''Then we think the same way'' He said with his smile which perfectly displayed his perfectly white teeth

We talked and soon we both arrived at terminal three. I learned that his name is Andrew and he is a 24-year-old med student who wants to become a doctor. I learned a little bit about his interests, likes, and dislikes.

''No, cereal is definitely not a soup'' I said

''But it has liquid and it has solid parts in it, so it's a soup!'' Andrew said

''Hange, can I ask you a question?'' Andrew asked

''Sure. That's how conversations work'' I said

''Where are you flying to?'' He asked

''Oh, I'm flying to see my parents and someone else, hopefully'' I said

''Is that someone else that special someone?'' He said with a smile as he lightly touched my shoulder

I smiled at his cuteness and let out a small chuckle

''No, unfortunately not'' I said

''Oh?''

''Do you want to hear the story?'' I asked as I looked at him

''If you wouldn't mind'' He said

''Umm, I don't even know where to start. I and Y/n have been friends since we were kids. We went to the same school, grade, parties, activities, trips, everything we did, we did together. I've always felt a special connection to Y/n, but I didn't understand what type of a connection it was for quite some time. I only understood what it was when I was like 16. Those feelings were in fact romantical. I didn't know how to tell her this but I think she felt the same way. I didn't see her as the best friend but I saw her as a woman'' I said as I sighed

''And then what happened?'' Andrew asked as his hand was still on my shoulder in a comforting way

''We graduated. We both lived separate lives. We haven't seen each other in a little bit over 3 years. But...I love her so much. No words can express how much I love that girl. I think about her all the time. All the fucking time. And because of that, I haven't been able to find anyone. Whenever I find someone, my brain just compares them to Y/n. And I break up with them''

''Damn, you are in big shit, Hange'' Andrew said

''I know'' I said as I chuckled a little

I looked up and saw that they were already letting people on the plane.

''I have to go now. My plane is up'' I said as I got up

''Oh well, I wish you luck, Hange'' Andrew said as he smiled

''I wish you the best, Andrew'' I said as I smiled

Then I went to board the plane. It was already dark outside so I didn't see shit out of the plane's window. I was stressed but excited. After two naps and a book, my plane landed. It was Christmas evening and there weren't a lot of people in this airport, maybe because the hometown was really small. As I came out of the airport, I headed to the bus station. The bus ride was short. Soon, I was outside my house.

But suddenly this weird feeling took over me. It was like a flashback. I felt like I would go inside, I would see my dad, drinking eggnog in the living room and watching ''Home Alone''. My mom and Y/n would be in the kitchen making gingerbread cookies and singing along to happy Christmas music.

It felt so real and it caused me to run inside the house and head to the kitchen only to see, my mom sitting alone. She looked so surprised. She got up from her chair and took me into a tight hug.

''I missed you so much, Hange'' My mom said sniffling

''I missed you too'' I said as I put my arms around her

''You have grown so tall and so beautiful! Who knew my tall girl would grow even taller!?' My mom said letting go and putting get her hand on my cheek

''I've always been tall for a girl'' I said chuckling

''Yes, you have been. So sweety, hurry up, get changed, and let's eat! Your room is set for you. We haven't changed anything in it'' My mom said letting me go

''Where's dad?'' I asked as I was already stepping out of the kitchen

''Oh, he ran to one of his buddies to get a pack of cigarettes'' Mom said with a fake smile on her face meaning that it was a lie

I walked upstairs into my old room. The room really hasn't changed. Everything was the same. There were posters of my favorite bands, the same furniture, the same blinds, and the pictures. In all of the pictures, Y/n was with me. Even though they all were my favorite, I had grown this second heart for one of them. It was with Y/n and me sleeping. Y/n had cuddled up to my chest and my hand was around her. Even though we were both asleep in a tent, my mom still took the picture.

I smiled looking at the picture.

Those were nice times
