Set: moments after Marley's death
Age: 16 years old

[I recommend rereading Marley's death and the last letter to Isaac before this]

Isaac dropped his head, his golden eyes returning back to bright blue. His head hung low, almost pressed against Marley's. 'Please, please, open your eyes' he kept saying to himself. He had no hope. He knew what had just happened, but in that moment, he refused to believe it. Everything around them was silent, just feet shuffling under the gravel. Scott laid a hand on Isaac's shoulder gently.

"I'm sorry," Scott said, his words barely leaving his mouth. Isaac didn't budge one bit. He just let his eyes leak and then gloss back over again. He held his silent cries and looked over Marley's beautiful face. She looked so peaceful, so fair. Her lips cornered upwards ever so slightly, gently parted, but breathless. A single tear sat ran down the corner of her eye. Her short curls cascaded from her head with her little baby hairs framing her cheeks and forehead. She still had golden streaked through her locks, even in winter, even in death.

"Scott? Scott, what happened? What..." Stiles called out as he stumbled around the corner, Lydia under his arm. She had tears running down her face quietly, almost unnoticeably. She knew what had happened since she had sensed it. But Stiles. "Marley?"

"Stiles-" Scott said, quietly. Everyone stood around, watching Isaac hold his love for the little amount of time he and with her. Stiles tried to walk to Marley, horror struck in his face. He knew someone had died because Lydia had screamed, but the last person he expected it to be was Marley. His best friend.

"Marley! Marley wait-" Stiles called out. Scott held him and pulled him away from Isaac. Stiles did just best to get past him, but he crumbled in Scott's arm. Scott wrapped his arms around Stiles, letting him sob into his shoulder. "Please, just let me- Marley." Stiles cried.

"Just let him be with her," Scott said back quietly, swallowing the lump in his throat. It was the least he could do. Isaac had lost everyone; his mum, brother father, and now the love of his life. Marley was the only person who cared for him. Isaac had been mistreated by everyone, even the alpha who bit him, but not Marley. She would never.

Lydia moved past the boys and stood in front of Allison. She looked up and saw her, tears running down her face and her hand over her mouth. Lydia squeezed her eyes shut and pulled Allison to a hug. Allison looked over Lydia's shoulder, seeing Marley limp in Isaac's arms. She hated herself because Marley's last thoughts were that she was trying to take Isaac from her. She hated herself for that. She hated that she had caused to much self doubt and anxiety on Marley that she died thinking about it. Allison mouthed her last words to Marley before pulling away from the hug. I am so sorry.

"We need to call the police," Chris Argent said, a strong faulty look to his face. He was upset but had to hide it. "If the police ask you what happened you say this."

"Dad-" Allison started.

"You were messing around out here, having fun, playing music, when a group of men came up to you, one carried a weapon," Chris ignored his daughter and carried on explaining. Everyone stood and half listened to him. "They asked for the car but you told them no. Marley tried to intervene when one of them stabbed her."

"Dad stop it," Allison said. Tears welled in her eyes, and everyone's around her. Isaac was the only one that wasn't listening. All he could do was admire the beautiful girl in his arms. All of sudden, it was like she was so perfect, more than he had even thought her to be.

"You say it was dark and you couldn't see their faces. And if you can't remember or you stumble, just say it happened to fast," Chris explained.

"Dad!" Allison shouted. He looked up at her, his eyes glossed with water. "She's only just died!"
