I have not published a chapter of this story for more months than I can remember. My ambition for this sequel/prequel to 'Both Broken' was consumed by the amount of school work I had. When I compared the importance of the two, school obviously came first. Now that I am in a position to continue this book, with the time intended to do so, I feel that it is unnecessary.

All honesty, I do regret starting another book about mine and Jeff Davis's characters. This book was meant to highlight the parts of the character's relationships that were not given time for, due to the constant drama from the Teen Wolf series. My biggest regret writing 'Both Broken' was that I did not give the characters enough time to develop a relationship and it was all rushed. The intent of the sequel/prequel was to show my readers their relationship that didn't rely on the plot of the TV show. I wanted to show people how they developed feeling, how they acted around each other, and how they communicated. But since I was consumed by work and the pressure to complete this series, I became unmotivated.

There was a long period of time where I did not enjoy writing like I used to and it became a chore. The more I forced myself to write, the less I could come up with.

I will always love the relationship I built between Marley and Isaac. Marley has been my favourite OC I've written about in my writing time. She reflects both the person I have been in the past but also who I want to be. She started out as scared and timid, unable to fight her own battles alone, but became self-dependant and brave, caring for everyone she knew. Marley will always have a place in my heart, especially since she came from nothing.

Marley started off as 'y/n' until I found the name. I had no plan when writing 'Both Broken'. I only knew that her and Isaac were best friends and that in the end, she would die. She grew from nothing into an amazing character. If I dare say so, she is the most developed character I've seen on wattpad. She has layers, all of which I did not intend.

I explained elsewhere in my stories that Marley had anger issues, and much like werewolves, she had an anchor: Isaac. Unintentionally, I portrayed her anger issues throughout the story without even knowing. E.g. the first season she appears in, the first violent thing she does is pin Stiles to the wall and questions him about Isaac's whereabouts when he goes missing. We only see Marley violent in any other scenes, besides battle, when she does not have Isaac, who acts as her anchor. Truly, Marley is my best work and will continue to be my biggest achievement.

This is not the end of my writing journey. I continue to create ideas from stories that intrigue me. The first few chapters of 'Heaven Is You', a Peter Parker story, have been published on my account. I also have several in planning. I hope for a long writing career; 'Both Broken' was just my first stepping stone.

I have been procrastinating ending this book because I am so attached to the story. Discontinuing this book will truly be the end to Marley and Isaac, two characters who I have written to fall in love. When I finish the book, I will have to let them go. Though, if I do not end this book here it will sit unfinished forever.

Thus, it's time to close the door and do the hardest challenge I've been dreading for months. Marley and Isaac's story lives on in my heart, and if you've come this far, I hope yours too. I will not forget them, nor my readers. But it is time for me to move on.

So thank you, my readers. I am forever grateful.

This has been 'Both Broken' and 'Before I Did'.
