The fishers sat in their tiny black boat. Waiting.
Waiting was their job, and they were good at it.
Every night they waited for unsuspecting fish to swim into their net of terror.
Every night they waited to come back with buckets of fresh fish.
Every night they waited to see one of them.
..................
She is waiting.
For a chance to get revenge.
She waits, for a chance. An opening in the trenches.
Master has warned her— about how everything will fall, and die. But she doesn't care. The whole planet can break for all she cares.
She walks towards the metal box and is hit by visions.
Children, here.
Playing, laughing, crying, shouting, children.
She is pulled into the vision and sees two girls, laughing at each other. The wind is strong and so are their hopes.
They are talking to each other, but the wind pulls away their words. Suddenly, as she closes her eyes from the headache, she opens them, and they are flying.
But that's impossible! They can't fly, humans can't—
Time stops, whirs and she is having an another vision.
The same girl, but alone this time. She is dancing, playing with dust devils.
How?—
Then girl leaves the vision, and time stops again.
A new vision on-rolls, the same girl, but older, talking to some other girl. She can't hear most of what they are talking about, but she sometimes can catch snippets of what their saying.
"Who do we tell?" Asks the other girl.
"Magic... it's a secret. We can't tell anyone. If we do, enslavement is a possibility. Fading though..." The girl who been dancing with the dust devils rubbed her forehead warily.
Why are they talking about fading? And magic?—
The girl who just been talking raised her head— and saw her.
No, that can't happen, but she had the feeling that she had to get out of the vision, now.
She yanked herself away, and was left, alone, standing, and breathing heavily.
What did she just see?
Hey guys! I know that last chapter/prologue was trash and short, but eh, it was an idea that I put into writing. XD don't worry, next chapter is going to be longer and... hopefully NOT trash (looking at ya, overflowing, trash bin ):( ) And I'm just publishing as I go so... MAYBEEEEE there will be spelling mistakes and I'll probably edit some stuff, so it MIGHT not be the same in a few days from now.
