Rodney and Freddy were now in the hospital. The morning was supposed to be a nice morning to workout at the gym but it ended in tragedy. Now Rodney was in a cast, while lying in a hospital bed. His arm would be in a cast for 2 months.
Freddy stared over at his "friend". Well were they friends? Freddy didn't really know but he shook off that thought at the moment and looked at Rodney. He looked unfazed maybe even a bit peaceful.
"Are you in any pain..?" Freddy asked. "Mhm, a lot." Rodney smiled before tears rolled down his face. "Sorry this happened.." Freddy apologized, "..I didn't mean for you the get hurt today.." "What?" Rodney pondered at the apology, "No, you didn't do anything wrong. I caused this to happen."
"I..I guess so.." Freddy replied.
"Besides I'm not in a deadly state at the moment." Rodney said, trying to making Freddy feel better about the situation. "Yeah, that's really what matters honestly."
Rodney smiled before looking into the ceiling. Freddy leaned back into his chair and started scrolling through his phone. They both sat in silence. Only listening to air conditioning unit, blowing in the room.
"I need to tell Mom and Dad about my injury.." Rodney thought, "Or do I?" He pondered it, before deciding he would tell them. But he could use his phone though.
"Freddy." "Hm?" Freddy hummed in response. "Could you grab my phone?" Rodney asked. "You can't use it though." Freddy pointed out. "I know, your gonna do something for me." "Okay." Freddy took Rodney's phone out of his bag.
He held infront it of Rodney to put in the password. Which Rodney did. "What now?" "Ring the contact that saying 'Mom', put in on speaker and hold the phone close to my mouth" Rodney instructed. "Okay.."
Freddy rings the number and it begins to ring.
*Ringing sound*
*click* "Hello?" Mrs. Middleton answered. "Mom.." Rodney said. "Rodney sweetie, how are you?" "In pain, in the hospital.." Rodney said a bit weary because he was in pain. "What!?" Mrs. Middleton yelled, "Where are you!?" "#### Hospital." Rodney said.
A lot of shuffling was heard in the background. "Your father and I are coming right now." Mrs. Middleton said before hanging up.
"Why did tell her you were here?" Freddy asked after the call ended, "You're 18, you don't have to tell your parents." "I just feel safer. I just turned 18 in March.." Rodney said and Freddy rose his eyebrows.
He just became an adult few months ago. Woah, so he was just leaving childhood.
"Dude, he isn't a kid. He's an adult." Conscience said to Freddy. "True.." "You could still date hi-" "I do not like him!" Freddy yelled mentally.
