Freddy stood right beside the car as Rodney was talking to his mother and the conversation was tense. Rodney was still fuming from his father's actions.

"Please, dear, I'll do anything to make you stay." Amelia begged her son. Gloria was trying to get Amelia to calm down but she was just ugly crying.

Rodney did feel bad for his mother. She didn't deserve to be left by her son but Rodney prioritized Freddy over anything that the moment. "Mamá, lo sé pero..." (Mama, I know but..)  Rodney began. "Estoy de pie junto a Freddy. Definitivamente ya no quiere estar aquí". (I am standing by Freddy.  He definitely doesn't want to be here .)

Amelia looked sad and asked, "Will you still come to visit..?" Rodney nodded and it made Amelia bit happier. "But only if I don't have to be around Dad.." Rodney added.

Amelia softly nodded after her son's demand.

"Don't you at least want to say goodbye to your sisters, hun?" Amelia asked. "Of course I would." Rodney said, "Where-" "Rodney!" The twins yell as they run towards their big brother and hug his legs.

Both of them are crying pretty hard as their don't want him to leave yet. Rodney bends down to his sisters level and says, "I'm super sorry I have to leave."

"That's okay Rodney.." Addison said, though she is still sniffling a bit. Maddison just let's out a loud cry and clings to her brother. "NOO! DON'T GO RODNEY!" She wails. Rodney stooped to her level and give her a massive bear hug. "Don't worry Maddie. I'll be back okay." He said to the sad girl.

Addison walked over to Freddy who watched Rodney's interaction with his sister. Addison pulled at his arm causing him to look at her; she spoke and told him,

"I'm very sorry about what Daddy did.." "I did expect him to do that to anyone." Freddy smiled softly and pat the girl on her hand.

"It's not your fault Addison." He said and she smiled glad to know he doesn't blame her.

Rodney stood up and said as he open the car door, "We have to get going now." Freddy made his way to the passager door; just as he entered the car.

Nelson came running towards the car; looking very, very distressed. He tried to call out to Rodney but his glared at him a drove away. Rodney was pissed after what his Dad did.

He drove back to the campus so much faster with his anger. Both he and Freddy sat in silence. Freddy watched the other stew in his seat during their journey back to the campus.

Freddy would be lying if he said he wasn't uneasy about Rodney's change in attitude; he never acted like this; normal he is a sunshine continuing to burn bright. That sun was now a furious ball of anger and embarrassment.

And it seems like his anger was seeping into his driving. "Rodney...slow down." Freddy broke the silence as he gently spoke.

Rodney's grip on the wheel eased up. He continued to silently stew but he was driving slower.

"..."

"Hey, you have to be angry on my behalf you didn't-"

Freddy was interrupted by a loud sob from Rodney as the car came to an immediate stop. Freddy jumped a bit at Rodney outburst; the car came to a complete stop. He just kept crying into his hands.

"I'm so sorry Freddy! I just never expected Dad to act like that at all." Rodney spat out in between his sobs. He continued to ramble on and on about how sorry he was; it just broke Freddy's heart.

Freddy pulled Rodney into a massive hug and held him as he cried. As he  cradled his distressed friend; rested his head on his shoulder and whispered,

"It's because you thought he trusted to be your own person right. But in the end, he just wants to control you." Rodney nodded as he began to shake and cry again.
