Chapter 14.5

Nelson Middleton was not happy in the slightest.

Infact he was fuming in anger. He could start a furnace with how hot his anger was; but he was just as worried about his son. Rodney had left without warning early this morning and oddly Fredrick was also missing.

That boy gave him bad feeling since he visited Rodney at the hospital. He did not like Frederick Smith, despite what he was told about him by Mrs. Temple and Rodney, himself.

Nelson was worried about what could be happening to Rodney at that moment, if Fredrick was doing anything weird to his son or if he wasn't caring about him. After Rodney had broken his arm, Nelson blamed Fredrick for it despite Rodney protesting and saying it was his own fault.

Picking up his phone, Nelson was intending to call Rodney. But his wife, Amelia, was calling out to him from the hallway. She knocked on his office door, calling out to him.

"Nelson! The Silverheart's are here for a visit." The Silverheart's were here for a surprise visit, that was interesting. They haven't visited since Rodney left for college. "Alright, I'll be out in just a moment dear."

Nelson dialed Rodney's number. Rodney always answered him when he called, it was just normal. So Nelson expected nothing different; but to his dismay Rodney didn't answer.

Frustrated, Nelson called again. Voicemail.

Again. Voicemail.

He tried three more times to no avail. This was worrying for Nelson. He could understand if Rodney didn't see the first two calls but the last three were definitely ignored.

Amelia knocked again, "Honey, come on. They're waiting downstairs."

Nelson sighed and put his phone into his pocket before leaving the office. "Finally. What were you doing?" Amelia asked her husband as they walked through the hallway.

"I was trying to Rodney but he isn't answering." Amelia gave him a frustrated look, "Nelson. He is an adult. Rodney is okay." "But-"

She glared at him.

That made him quiet down quickly. "Now the Silverheart's are waiting on us." Amelia said, leading her husband to the living room.

In the living room were Mr. & Mrs. Silverheart, along with their two children. Gordon and Gracie.

'They're definitely going to ask about Rodney's whereabouts." Nelson though as he and Amelia took their seats in the living.

Addison and Maddison were already talking with the other twins about something. Nelson was sure what.

"Hello Silverheart's. It is lovely to see to all again." Nelson started bit being interrupted by the Silverheart twins.

"Where's Rodney?" They both said in unison.

Oh boy. This is going to be a long day.

4:00 pm

The Silverheart's were now leaving after today's events. But something stopped them for awhile. Their twins who wanted to stay the night or two.

Mr. & Mrs. Silverheart asked if it would be possible for that to happen. Amelia gave Nelson a look of approval. She adored her friends a lot, she really wanted them to stay.

"Alright then, but you all do not have any clothes to wear." Nelson said.

"No worries." Mrs. Silverheart said, "Augustus, please go to get our prepackaged luggage for occasions like this." The driver nodded and he was off. Amelia brought her friends in to the dining hall for a lovely dinner.

Nelson waited in near the front door. He had a gut feeling. Just a small hunch about something.

He was correct.

Through the front door, walked in Rodney and Fredrick. They were together all day. Nelson was not happy at all.

"RODNEY ALEXANDER MIDDLETON!" Nelson said calmly.
