Yeosang avoided Jongho like the plague.

After he found himself naked in the others' arms, he snuck out of the room to take a shower. His body ached all over, he felt something wet trickling down his legs and he was in a terrible mood. Especially when he discovered the bite mark on his neck.

Really, the only good thing was the fact that Seonghwa stored his baby prevention pills in the bathroom cupboard and that there were some for the after-sex left. So naturally, Yeosang swallowed the amount the little note in the box told him to take and took a deep breath.

The hot water in the shower eased his pain and cleared his head, and it was also the shower that helped him to decide to move out. And before you ask: Remember how the first volume explained why Yeosang hated Jongho? That reason didn't change just because they spent the night breaking the bed. Hell no. And the mate thing didn't change that, either.

Besides, the situation also had a good thing: Other Alphas would leave him alone for good, now that he was "taken", and even if he got his heat again, only Jongho would be able to smell his pheromones and react to it. And as long as Yeosang was far, far away from him, there wouldn't be any need for them to repeat last night.

Brilliant.

And so, the Omega went back to his room, and grabbed the most important things like his phone, money, a few spare clothes, and his laptop, before he basically ran out of the building. Jongho didn't even stir in his sleep, so it was quite easy. Outside, Yeosang started walking towards the nearest bus stop while texting Hongjoong that he'd be staying with his friend Jackson for a while because they had a group project to do. He also texted Jackson, telling him he had to crash at his place because a pipe broke and flooded his room.

Since the Beta was so horrible social, he'd have nothing against it anyways. Jackson loved being around people, which explained a) the many parties he always hosted and b) his job as a bartender. And so, the Omega reached the bus stop and waited for the next one to take him into the city. It arrived only a few minutes later, and after he found a comfortable seat, he took his headphones and started his playlist. His phone rang a few times on the ride, there was an "ok" from Hongjoong, a "Hell yeah buddy; drop by at my workplace! Celebration!" from Jackson, and calls from "Annoying Asshole" (aka Jongho), which he didn't answer.

I mean, why would he? It was not like they were together.

The time flew by and soon, he reached his stop and made his way downtown to a hidden bar called "Moondrop" where Jackson worked at. As soon as he opened the door, soft jazz greeted him, mixed with the alluring aroma of whiskey. The familiar scent softened Yeosang's mood and he took a deep breath while making his way to the counter. A tall figure wearing a classy white shirt and a blackish waistcoat was already waiting for him: "Yeo, my pal! Good to see ya. How've you been, hm?"

The Omega dropped onto one of the bar stools and grinned tiredly: "Hey man, fine. A lot happened, I'm just glad I can stay at yours." The Beta nodded and started mixing a drink: "You gotta tell me once we're home, okay? For now: Here's a whiskey on the rocks. Something strong and simple to cheer you up." He winked and slid a glass toward his friend.

Yeosang sighed but he did take a sip from the glass, which was something Jackson could work with at least. The Beta watched his friend smile as the alcohol started warming his stomach and placed a smile on his lips. "So, what's going on, hm? Not that I'm complaining or anything but I smell the tea."

Yeosang wasn't sure whether or not he should tell his best friend the truth, he kept quiet for a few seconds until he made a decision: "Okay so, my friend was in heat...and they slept with an alpha they hated and...got marked. Now they don't know what to do, because technically they have a mate now but they don't even like the alpha who helped them through their heat..." Judging by his smile, Jackson knew exactly who said friend was. But he kindly played along: "So...they slept with someone and got bitten, and now they don't know what to do? Because they don't wanna be together with their supposed-to-be-mate."

Yeosang nodded: "Yeah." Jackson shook his head: "Easy. Just avoid this mate and they will probably lose interest in you. Like, wait till they forget you. It's a win for you anyway because your pheromones in heat will only affect your mate and no one else." yeah, duh, but was that the solution? To avoid Jongho, Yeosang would have to move out of the house completely and look for an apartment to stay in, and this apartment would have to be affordable with what he was paid and stuff. "Jackson, are you still looking for a roommate?" If the Beta was surprised, he didn't show it: "Hmm, yeah. I'm still looking for someone to split the rent with;;; and the housework of course, because I still am not able to cook. I almost exploded the microwave the last time I tried." How can someone almost explode the microwave?? 

But this opportunity was just what Yeosang needed. Jackson's flat was only ten minutes away from the Omega's university and it was close to an underground station that led directly to the city's shopping district. Buying groceries or other daily necessities would be a piece of cake, and avoiding Jongho would be as easy as stealing a baby's toy. "Hey, can I be your roommate? I promise to do the cooking." 

Jackson dropped whatever fruit he was holding and grabbed his friend's hands, eyes shimmering wet in the dim light: "Yeosang, you would save my life. You can move right in."

Avoiding Jongho? Consider it done.

Okay so I know it's no smut and stuff but I need to make some story progress here, otherwise, this would be unfinished and that'd suck, haha. Thank you for putting up with me
