The soft sound of rain falling against the big window in front of Seonghwa filled his ears while he waited for his coffee. The world outside, separated by the glass, looked blurry; the lights were reduced to red and orange dots, dancing and swirling around endlessly. There were no people passing by, the city seemed empty, lonely, and dead.
The rattling of keys against metal, the creaking of a door. A soft gasp as his lover pressed their leg against his length.
Soon, soft steps came closer and the light 'thud' of a cup placed on polished wood drew his attention. His friend sat down on the chair opposite him. The two of them were the only two left in the empty room. The part-timers had already left for the day, Hongjoong had sent them home because there was nothing left to do as there were no customers.
Hands grabbing clothes, pulling on the fabric. Lips against lips, a hot, messy kiss while gasping for air. Hot blood cursing through his veins.
'It must be caused by the weird, almost peculiar weather', Seonghwa thought. Usually, you'd always find at least one person somewhere out there, because someone's bound to be crazy and venture outside, even when the whole sky seemed to bawl its eyes out.
But not today.
A raspy moan escaped his throat. His fingers slid through soft, silky hair. Lips mumbled incoherent words while his boyfriend quickly opened his pants to pull them down.
Seonghwa's gaze left the window. His hand reached out for the cup in front of him. Fine fume rose into the air, twisting and dancing before it disappeared, leaving only the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee behind.
A curse left his lips as he felt Yunho's tongue against his skin, sucking and licking away. His grip tightened around the strands while he relished the sensation of lips around his dick.
For one moment, Seonghwa seemed to hesitate, but then he lifted it up. The brunette was careful not to burn himself while he took a small sip. The tasty aroma filled his mouth and a pleased hum managed to escape his lips. Hongjoong watched him silently, arms crossed and face unreadable.
Seonghwa's body shuddered as his orgasm shook his body, a satisfied smile playing around his lips. He allowed himself to enjoy his high for a short while before pulling his boyfriend up to meet his lips with a wild kiss. He could taste himself, salty and bitter yet oh so sweet.
A moment of silence passed, only filled with the rain's melody playing outside.
"You look worse than last time. Did you sleep?" It was Hongjoong who broke the silence. Seonghwa, with his eyes closed, and the warm cup still in his hands nodded. Hongjoong didn't believe him even for a second:"Liar." A short pause. "What about food? Do you eat enough? You look so thin and pale, Hwa." Seonghwa, again, nodded.
His boyfriend pushed him onto the bed. Seonghwa could feel the air leave his lungs. He gasped, more because he was surprised that he was excited and scared, and watched his lover remove their clothes. 'Hurry, hurry, hurry', he thought.
'I hate this', Hongjoong thought.
"Don't lie to me, Hwa. Please, don't. Something's clearly wrong with you. You look exhausted and worn out. Your eyebags are so big...and your lips are bloody. Did you bite them?"
Silence.
"Hwa, please. Talk to me." Hongjoong sounded pleading. He knew that, in the end, it was up to his friend to tell him what was wrong. If Seonghwa didn't want to, there was no way Hongjoong'd get him to explain. Yet he still begged. He couldn't bear watching his friend suffer.
A loud moan as his boyfriend finally entered him. He felt so full, it was almost too much. His lover didn't move, waiting for him to give him the okay to keep going. Then, deep and long thrust, reaching so deep Seonghwa felt like he was going to rip. An endless stream of words and pleas leaving his mouth, and one name being so precious he muttered it over and over again:"Yunho."
And Seonghwa broke down.
Tears started flowing down his beautiful face, dripping from his chin. He had to let go of the cup in order to avoid spilling the liquid on his clothes and because he used his hands to hide his face. His pained sobs filled the empty café, oddly fitting together with the rain.
"I can't do this anymore, Joong. I can't. I'm breaking." He sounded utterly helpless. Scared. Anxious. Alone. Without a word, the barista got up and walked around the table to wrap his hands around his friend. It only caused Seonghwa to cry harder.
Yunho not coming home for days. Him staying out longer and longer, ignoring Seonghwa's worried messages. Him getting home drunk, lipstick stains on his collar, and hickeys covering his neck.
Seonghwa asking, shouting, crying. Wanting to leave.
And Yunho holding him back, coaxing him to stay. Threatening him. Begging him. Blackmailing him.
The two of them remained there for a long, long time. Seonghwa sobbed, tears dripping down from his chin, landing in the cup containing the now cool coffee, and Hongjoong simply holding him.
Because right now, that was the only thing he could do.
And the rain continued to pour down, not caring a single bit about the pain of the person inside the café, because why should it? The devil didn't bargain, either.
