Chapter 3 astonished and overjoyed

Third person pov.
Time skip.

Katra was astonished, overjoyed and thrilled to say the least. She couldn't believe that she was even in Republic City right now. She was so, so scared she was going to wake up and be in her bed back home, locked away from the world around her once again. Away from her older sister.

Katra has always wanted to go to Republic City and finally being here made her so excited, joyful, happy, amused, in awe of everything, but the underlying emotions she also had were scared, nervous, anxious, panicky and fearful of almost everything around her.

There's multiple reasons why she was scared, anxious, fearful, and so on.

One being that this was all a dream and she was going to wake up at any moment; breaking the perfect dream she's having, a dream she has dreamt for-for years now, a dream she wished to come true and it’s now finally coming true. Only if she doesn't wake up in her bed… (scared)

Two being that she was now in Republic City, a place she has never been before. Everything around her was so new to her and so different then where she came from, she didn’t even know anyone except the few that she came to live with. This place is so big and crowded; and she's not great with people and crowds; most of the time it was Korra and her parents who handled the crowds for her so she didn't need to deal with them. So everything is exciting her, but also causing her a lot of anxiety. When she's back with Korra, she knows she will feel a bit better. (anxious)

And, the third reason is what was happening in Republic city. The reason why she was able to come to Republic City at the first start. Amon. She was terrified about what Amon was able to do and what they had done to her older sister, but she pushed it down and hid it from others, so they wouldn't baby her. She didn't want that. Her older sister wanted her with her and she wanted to be with her too. She wanted to help her sister out and not be stuck at home, so she pushed it away the best she could. (fearful)

Though, her fears of things were really overrun with the better emotions being with Tenzin. He made her feel safe, really safe, like her sister, dad and mom made her feel; so at the moment she didn't really feel the emotions she felt leaving her home, on the way to Republic city, or waiting for Tenzin. She felt mostly joyful, calm, excited and happy at the moment.

Tenzin looks over his shoulder and sees the neko girl with wide joyful eyes looking around the bright place. He chuckled to himself, but usher her forward so she was now in front of him so he was able to watch over her better.

Katra places her hands behind her back with her fingers entwined together, and turns around as she walks towards the place Tenzin was taking her, “So where are we going again? I don’t think you've said it yet. All you said was we are meeting a friend of yours, who's going to protect me” she asks. Her ears move under her hat as she talks, moving with her emotions. “Who’s the friend?”

Time skip.

Third person pov.

It wasn’t a long walk from where she was picked up from to where they needed to get to. Maybe ten to fifteen minutes to get there.

Now she’s following Tenzin down a semi long hallway towards…, she has no clue on where she's going-ish. She knows the building she's in because of the research on Republic City and all, but she doesn't know Tenzin's plan, nor does she know any plan that's happening tonight, so she's blind sided.

Tenzin is taking her to Lin. Lin and him then will tell her everything that's to happen tonight and how she is with Lin and his safety the whole time there.

Katra did and didn't get a response from Tenzin fifteen minutes ago about the friend he was taking her to meet. She only really got the name and that's it, and she kind of wanted more than that, but she was fine with what she got.

"I'm guessing this is the place I'll be meeting Korra at?"

Tenzin turned his head slightly to look at her, "Yes, right now she's training with her teammates. Hopefully you will be able to see her before the match begins," he said.

The neko smiles big at that response. She wants so badly to see her older sister again. Katra waves and shakes her hands slightly around herself because of her excitement about seeing her sister again soon. She would have done a little dance, but she… got insecure about her surroundings: not wanting anyone to see her.

Tenzin opens the closed door and steps into the room, “Lin, nice to see you again. This is the girl I was talking about, Katra.”

Katra stopped her hands and put them behind herself as she stepped out from behind Tenzin to show herself to the new person. “Hello,” she said, waving at them. "You must be Lin Beifong, it's really nice to meet you." She said stepping past Tenzin with her hand sticking out towards Beifong for a 'proper meeting'.

Lin Beifong stood there for a few seconds glancing her over before grasping her hand into hers and shook it, "it's nice to meet you Katra, seems like this one has manners" Lin said past Katra to Tenzin.

Tenzin just rolled his eyes at that. Katra was told about what Korra had done when she got to Republic City by her parents. "I'm guessing this is about what my sister did on the first day here?" Katra asks them.

"Yes." Both chipped in at the same time.

Katra nods her head and steps back and looks around the room she was in. It was a medium sized room. It held what a room would need when this place held games in it.

She turns around and looks at the two adults, "So when can I see Korra?" She asks them.

"Soon, but first we need to talk." Tenzin said.

Katra’s right ear moves back a bit, "What's about? What's happening?"
