AN: To clear everything up, this isn't the Mpreg. Hint hint wink wink ;) Anyway, there will probably be smut later on between Sam and Gabe. Tell me if you want it, tell me if you don't.

Dean and Cas dragged Gabriel upstairs, and Sam watched, laughing, but very curious.

Once safe from prying ears, Cas took a deep breath. "Okay. Gabriel?"

"Yes?" Gabe smirked. "Okay, we want you to help us play a prank on Bobby and Sam, but first you need to know something." Gabe's eyes lit up at the mention of a prank, but narrowed at the end.

"What do I need to know?" "Gabriel, you're going to be an uncle."

"You're pregnant? Wow! That's weird, but cool, since you did it when you were both du-" "Gabe," Dean warned.

"Oh, right. Prank. Whaddya need me to do?" The Trickster was getting worked up.

"We want to tell them in the form of a surprise, but we don't know what kind of surprise."

"Leave this to me," Gabe said smugly. "Okay, so here's the plan..."

==============

Gabe trudged down the stairs, his face a mask of mourning.

"Gabe! What's wrong!" Sam ran to him, and Bobby walked over from the car he was working on.

"Cas only has about a year to live," Gabe whispered sadly, his eyes welling up with tears.

Sam pulled him into his arms. "I'm so sorry, Gabe."

"She wants all of us to go up and help her create a bucket list."

Sam and Bobby nodded solemnly, and Gabe followed Sam, Bobby, and even Crowley up the stairs.

A split second before they opened the door, Gabe flew into Dean's room, and threw open the door.

Dean and Gabe did a drum roll on the walls and bed frame, and Sam and Bobby stared at them in astonishment and more than a little disbelief.

When they stopped, Cas shyly said, "I'm carrying a Nephillim."

Crowley was the first to recover, with a victory smirk. Sam wore a conflicted expression because he had no idea whether to be pissed off or amused and happy.

Bobby looked from Dean to Cas to Dean to Cas again.

Sam recovered next, laughing his butt off. "Shit, man! I thought Cas was gonna die or something! I hate you and you," he said, pointing at Gabe and Dean who made innocent expressions.

"C'mon, Sam. You know you can't be mad at me, or even him," the archangel said, waggling his eyebrows.

"I knew it!" Crowley shouted.

Bobby looked at Cas. "C'mere, ya idjit," he said gruffly, pulling her into a hug.

After he pulled away he glared at Dean and Gabe.

"Don't do that again. I was really fooled, thinkin' that Cas was gonna die. Are we clear?"

"Yes, Bobby," Dean and Gabe said, grinning.

Bobby, Gabriel, Sam, and Crowley filed downstairs, laughing and talking.

"That went well," Cas commented, the corners of her lips turning up.

"That most certainly did go well," Dean said, amused.

"Now what, Dean?" It was a simple question, but caught Dean off guard.

"Well, you'll stop going on hunts for now, and we'll find Lucifer, and kick his ass."

"Dean, our baby..." "Our baby what?" "Our baby, since it's half angel, will be targeted by angels. They'll try to take it away from us."

Dean's eyes narrowed. "Why the fuck would they? If they touch our son or daughter, they'll wish they were never born."

"They'll want it because they take all angel babies away from their mothers so that they can become soldiers for Heaven."

"I thought Heaven knew that messing with Winchesters is a pain in the ass," he commented.

"I know, but they'll still come for me."

"When?" "When the baby's Grace gets stronger and easier to trace."

"I swear if they-" "I know, Dean," Cas said, smiling and wrapping her arms around the hunter.

==============

"I admit, Cas being a woman is weird. I mean, yeah, she's happy and all, but she's going to be targeted by the angels now."

"What d'ya mean?" Sam asked the archangel, concerned.

"They're gonna go after the baby, the Nephilim."

"The Nephilim? I know Cas mentioned it, but what exactly is it?" "That's what the baby is; half human, and half angel."

"What does that mean for Cas?"

"This means the stronger that the baby is, the weaker Cas will get. The Nephilim is draining her grace so that it can be set up with its own once it's born."

"Shit, why didn't we tell Dean? Is Cas gonna be okay?"

"I think she'll be okay. She's strong, and Nephilim don't kill the mother."

Sam relaxed a bit.

==============

Dean stroked Cas' longish dark brown hair, thinking that she was asleep. His hand strayed to her stomach, and Cas laid her hand atop his.

"You're awake?" Dean asked quietly, pulling her closer.

"Yes. I've been awake, and thinking about everything that's happened to us, to me. Sam freed Lucifer accidentally, Lucifer killed me and I came back as a female, and now I have a Nephillim to protect."

"Pretty crazy month." He caressed her soft skin.

"I wonder why Father made me a woman," Cas said thoughtfully.

"Maybe so that you could have our baby without complications. Either that, or he wanted to see how you'd act."

Castiel smiled in the darkness. "Maybe. That would make sense."

Silence thickened the air.

"Dean, I'm going to give you a fair warning. I'm going to be tired a lot later on, and I'll probably be forced to eat human food."

Dean smirked. "Forced?"

They laid silently awhile, with Cas comforted by Dean's calloused hand against her abdomen.

"I love you, Dean."

"I love you too, Cas."
