Alice
Dean and Alex burst through the door. I'd burst into a flood of tears when I'd seen them. Crowley had tortured me for another hour and then phoned my father, telling him my location. Dean unstrapped me from the chair, picked me up and carried me to the car.
He laid me down in the backseat. Alex slipped in beside me and placed my head in his lap. Within minutes, I'd fallen asleep, a temporary relief of my physical pain.
Alice - Dream
Fog surrounded me. I couldn't see more than a metre in any direction. Above me a lone streetlight flickered ominously. I pushed forward through the fog until I saw the back of a human figure. Relieved I called out, "Hey! Can you help me?"
The figure didn't respond. Confused, I moved closer to him. "Hello? Excuse me?"
Suddenly the figure spun around and punched me in the face. I stumbled backwards a few steps before regaining my balance. The figure stalked towards me and threw me to the ground with inhuman strength. I could see him more clearly now and felt my mouth dry up. He had no face.
"Oh my God."
Although he had no mouth to speak with, his voice echoed all around me. "You brought this on yourself."
"What did I ever do to you?" I cried. "I don't know you!"
"Exactly!" He screamed. "You sold my soul without thinking about me! Without thinking about who you would hurt in the process."
My blood ran cold. I'd sold someone's soul. And they were going to die. The reality of what I'd done finally caught up with me. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." Tears streamed down my face, I didn't deserve to live.
"Not good enough." The fog was beginning to fade away and the man was deteriorating rapidly into nothingness. He wrapped a tight hand around my throat. The hand was relentless and unforgiving.
I deserve this, I thought weakly.
Present
"Hey," Alex whispered, his voice husky with exhaustion. He was sitting in a chair right next to where I was lying, my guardian angel.
As I took in my surroundings, I realized I was in my room at Bobby's. My wounds were bandaged and stitched and immensely painful. My dream was resonating around the thoughts in my head. I looked at Alex and my vision blurred, tears welling in my eyes.
"What's wrong?" He asked, his forehead creasing with worry.
I couldn't let anyone know what I'd done. They'd be so disgusted and ashamed and I wouldn't be able to cope, knowing that I'd bartered someone else's soul to save my loved ones. Alex pulled me into a gentle hug, wary of my injuries, and rested his head on my shoulder. I could feel his slight stubble brushing my neck and buried my face in his shaggy hair, inhaling his scent.
"I love you." The statement escaped me before I could stop it. It was simple and true and I knew that I meant it with all my heart. I heard Alex inhale sharply. He pulled back from the hug and I immediately felt colder than I had before.
"What?" Alex asked, staring at me with his blue eyes.
I drew in a shaky breath. "I'm in love with you." Tears cascaded down my face freely.
Alex roughly grabbed my face and mashed our lips together. My fingers entangled themselves in his hair, pulling him closer to me. I craved this, I needed this. Alex ran his tongue across my lips, asking permission to deepen the kiss. I opened my mouth and moaned in pleasure. Suddenly, Alex was on the bed too, hovering over me. He didn't hesitate to merge our lips again.
He broke the lip-lock and trailed feather-light kisses up my neck, whispering "I love you" over and over again. We became so entangled that I couldn't decide where my body ended and his began. After an age, Alex pulled away and lay down beside me. "We can't go any further than this."
Hurt, tears began to well in my eyes again. When he saw my expression, his eyes widened, "No, I mean, just now. If we go any further I won't be able to control myself and we could rip your stitches."
Realisation hit me like a tonne of bricks and I began to laugh. An easy smile crossed Alex's face as he propped himself up beside me. "I love that sound," he said. "I will never get sick of hearing you laugh."
"I love you Alex Reynolds."
"I love you, too, Alice. My Alice Everdeen."
"Winchester."
"What?" Alex asked, confused.
"It's Alice Winchester."
"Fine then, Miss Winchester." A small smirk played across his lips.
The euphoria and adrenaline of kissing Alex was beginning to wear off and my cuts were throbbing with pain. I grimaced slightly; they were going to take forever to heal.
"I better go get your dad and tell him that you're awake."
I nodded. "Can you bring me some pie, too?"
He rolled his eyes. "What did your last slave die of?"
"Sore legs!" I called after him.
Now that I was alone with my own thoughts, I allowed my guilt to creep in. Someone was going to die. And it was on me. However, I knew that if I was offered the same choice with the same consequences, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
As I bathed in self-pity, I was smacked in the face with the realization that the person I loved more than anyone else in the world was Alex. The circumstances of us meeting and having the relationship that we had now were based on coincidence. We were meant to meet. We were meant to love.
Alex Reynolds was my true love. And he was going to die.

So, yeah guys. Be prepared for a long-ish A/N because I have excuses and thanks and all sorts of stuff to do.
Reasons for not updating in four months:
- School (ugh)
- Anime (Attack on Titan, guys, nuff said)
- Six Nations Rugby Tournament (Nursing wounds from the Scotland defeat by England earlier today)
- Crossy Road (Highscore: 418)
- Again, more anime (Everytime I thought about writing Sebastian, Light and Eren would call me)
Basically my life has revolved around all of those things but I have recently come to the conclusion that my writing is kinda shit, despite what you guys tell me. I've been trying my hardest to improve my writing and have edited some of the previous chapters of this book. Another thing guys, thank you so unbelievably much for reading my book. Four months ago, I was asking you for 50,000 reads. By the next day I had that. By Christmas I had 60,000. Guys we are now at 93,000 reads and 3,000 votes. We are still rising. I never, ever thought that this mediocre story would reach 1,000 reads never mind almost 100,000. I cannot express my gratitude for you people enough, I love you guys.
Also, thanks for my birthday wishes!
Now, go watch Attack on Titan if you don't already people, I promise you will not regret it. The Levitra ship will always be in my heart.
SHINGEKI NO THUG LIFE!
