Alice - Seven Months Later

Over the past seven months I've learnt all about the world of the supernatural. We humans think that all those creatures we read about like vampires, werewolves and angels don't exist, they are just myths to entertain the younger generations. That's where we're wrong. Said creatures do exist, they're just more gruesome than we portray them to be. For example, if you expect to just saunter up to a vampire and expect them to instantly fall in love with you, then leave. Right now. What is more likely to happen is that they chomp on you and you die.

During my months spent with the Winchesters, Bobby and occasionally Castiel, I have become very close to all of them. I now view Dean as my father and after an internal struggle I began to call him Dad. Despite all this, I still don't quite feel part of the family. I believe that this is because they don't let me join them on hunts. Until today. Yes, today I'm officially going on my first hunt and I'm freaking excited.

Before we left my father sat me down and quizzed me about various things. "How do you kill a vampire?"

"Decapitation."

"What do you do if you find a hex bag?"

"Burn it immediately."

"What do you say to exorcise a demon?"

"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, draco maledicte. Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos," I recited.

"OK, you're ready."

We exited the lounge to find Sam waiting by the door. "Oh and by the way Sam, I call shotgun!" I said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Damn it!" Sam cursed. "I hate you."

"You love me."

"Do not!"

"Do to!"

"Do not!"

"Do-"

"Quit bickering! We're not even in the car yet!" Dean exclaimed, interrupting our argument.

"Well at least I still get shotgun," I muttered before slipping into the car.

"OK," Dean started. "After looking at the bodies in the morgue, it has confirmed our suspicion that vampires are behind this."

"They are probably young and inexperienced, judging by the mess they made, most likely abandoned by their creator or are allowed to run riot." Sam continued.

"They? How do you know that there isn't just one vampire?" I questioned.

"There's been too much carnage here for it to be the work of just one," Dean responded.

"OK. So what's our next move?" I asked as my stomach growled.

"Well before we do anything we must sedate the beast," Dean said smirking. I glowered at him before sticking my tongue out childishly.

"Fine," I muttered, knowing they would tease me about it until I admitted that I was hungry. "Let's go eat then."

We entered and did our routine casual surveillance of the area, it was surprisingly busy but we declared it clear. We ordered and slipped into a red leather booth. The wooden table in the middle of us was marked with scratches that looked like they'd been etched into the wood for a long time.

Our food soon arrived, I'd ordered a hamburger and fries and when they came I began shaking a ridiculously high amount on to my food. What can I say, I like salt...a lot. I glanced up at Sam and saw him shaking his head at me. "What?" I asked defensively.

"You're gonna die early if you keep using that much salt," he warned.

"Don't listen to him. You can put as much salt on as you like," Dean said, trying to avoid another argument.

We ate in silence and when I was finished I realised I needed a pee, badly. "Excuse me," I muttered before pushing myself up and away from the booth. Making a beeline for the toilets, I swerved in and out of the crowds and just when I thought that I was in the clear, I banged into someone.

"Sorry," he said. "I didn't see..."

I looked up to see why he'd stopped and my eyes widened in shock. "Alice," he muttered in disbelief. "It's really you."

I don't know why all the bad shit happened to me in diners, it must just be my luck. But when I looked into the blue eyes of my best friend I knew there was no way I was weaselling my way out of this one.

"Hey, Greyson," I said with a small smirk. "You miss me?"

I know nothing interesting happened in this chapter but I felt the need to put something up after not updating for so long. I've had writers block with this story but I finally managed to shift it.

Also could you guys please check out another story of mine called Scarlet Sage. I've got another story I'm planning to upload soon called A Blazing Death, if you could check that out as well it would be greatly appreciated!
