Today is the day for the Autumn Descending Festival and it is a day for the human world for they would celebrate and welcome the gods and immortals that would come down to their world only twice every 10 years in April and October (Autumn Descending Festival and the Spring Descending Festival. Every 10 years they switch and for in this case in the next 10 years would be the Spring Descending Festival)
Desi also happened to be born on this day and so it meant it was his birthday.
Many people had said their congrats but he didn't really care because he never really thought of his birthday as a big deal.
"It only means your one year older then before and doesn't it mean your also one year closer to death?" he thought every time.
But on this day his sister was always the happiest, she would give him gifts, make his favourite food, Saccharine and Piquant Roasted Peanuts with Chicken. It is a dish not too sweet and not too bitter but it is roast chicken hanging down from a stick connected by a line of roasted peanuts (think of a fishing rod and the fishing line but its a line of roasted peanuts with chicken inbetween it.
Everybody went to the main hall to get ready for the decention. There were snacks and drinks on the side for anyone since they had to wait for all the kingdoms to arrive.
A man with a silver and gold mask covered his face while he called out different kings and queens, princes and princesses.
"King Clem and Princess Cato of the Leilani Kingdom have arrived!"
"Prince Dolion of Crown Court City of Aurelia has arrived!"
"The twins of love, Sir Iphis and Lady Amanda of the Aiyana Domain, Princess Dyani of Nox City and lady in waiting, Miss Dove have arrived!"
"Lady Dianthe of Lotus Lake and her followers have arrived!"
"I wonder where the people of the demon realm are, they haven't arrived yet..." wondered Desi.
People whispered around about the absence of the demonic realm.
"I heard that the Unclean realm was allowed back in the Immortal Court!"
"How can they let such beasts roam free after what just happened!"
"Let's just hope it's just Aria attentending, she's a nice girl for a demon I must admit."
Desi heard the whispers and gossip and was reminded "Ah, I must apologise to her... "
The announcer cleared his throat he didn't feel comfortable with the essence of evil that he breathed in and got stuck in his chest, he slowly but surely said;
"The heir of the Unjustified Realm, Aria has arrived..."
Everyone shot their heads to the top of the stairs where a girl in dark green and had long messy plaits, stood half in the sunlight half in the shadow, her eyes shone bright in the dark so it looked intimidating to most people in the hall.
Everyone was silent while she slowly looked down, going down the steps one by one, she knew that everyone liked her personality and smile but never actually got to know her, she was known as 'Desi's demon friend' and as she got to the bottom, she greeted some of the people that were beside her.
Desi saw her and ran up saying, "Wait Aria!"
But she just walked across to the snack table and picked up a bread stick.
"Hey Aria! Don't bother ignoring me. I'm sorry about before and i have been meaning to apologise and-"
"Do you trust me?" Aria said, pointing the bread stick at Desi's nose.
"Wha-"
"Do you trust me?" she said, or is it because of what I am, you hate me and can't even talk to me? I just want to help you and I'm very sorry for your loss you're lucky you even had parents, you know? haha you know what my dad is like, aye? We made a promise that we-"
"No Aria, I don't hate you. As much as I want to, I can't hate you. I know it wasn't your fault and I know your stuck in the situation as well. I do trust you."
"Hey Desi, Aria"
"Ernaline." he turned to the newcomer.
"Lady Ernaline." Aria greeted.
"Ah, I see you guys frowning from the other side of the hall! What's up?" she asked.
"It's nothing Ernaline we were talking about meeting the humans soon" Desi smoothly covered up.
"Ah, yes the humans, I heard that they set rooms for us so that we can stay a few days and tour" she said excitedly.
"Wow that sounds exciting! I never been to a Autumn or Spring fest before" Aria sprang up and down on her heels, clapping her hands.
"Well I hope the realm's heir will enjoy her stay?" Ernaline smiled at her.
"Absolutely!"
"Brilliant, anyway you two make sure you get ready we are leaving soon" Ernaline said.
"Mhm" Desi humed.
