Hanji's Pov
"Sorry but I can't do long distance. I thought about it a lot and it's just something I can't do. I wish you the best in Japan and i hope you never forget me because I won't forget you."
These words have been hunting me for 5 years. I deleted all my social, moved to Japan, got a job and i have a nice life but something is missing. She's missing i just hope she's doing okay as well.
Maybe it's time for me to forget her and get a girlfriend or boyfriend, yes that's what i will do. I will go to the thing my friends told me about and have the most fun i ever had in my life.
Time skip to the concert
"Oi Hange we're here" i heard one of my friends from the lab, Akame, call me near the bar.
"Hey did you guys wait long? Either way the life of the party is here" I gave my best smile.
"Ughhh they're taking so long to playyy... they said it would be the next one like half an hour ago" My other friend, Hinata, said.
"Yeah I heard the vocalist is being difficult again and she's probably with some fans right now" Maki, my other friend said.
"Who are you guys talking about?" I scratched the back of my neck very awkwardly and everyone looked at me amazed.
"Are you serious right now? You came here without knowing who's gonna play here? Where have you been living patrick" Hinata said slightly offended that I didn't know who they were.
"They some dumbass that Hinata love, more specifically the vocalist, right Hinata?" Akane hit Hinata with her elbow.
"Shut it, don't embarrass me... Anyways they're the Red Blvd, they're a well known band. They come from New York just like you, maybe you know them but probably not. They made a name in the states and now they're internationally known it's impressive honestly they were 17/18 when they started getting fame. And the vocalist is just so fine is out of this world honestly but she has a girlfriend, it's a japanese model, Zero two, you probably never heard about it as well but i still have hopes we can get together" Maki slapped Hinata's head right after she was finished talking, I laughed at Hinata and got a death stare which made me laugh even more.
"Oh you must be very obsessed with them jesus" I said still laughing at her.
I was having fun with my friends talking and laughing till they announced that the band was coming in stage.
"Oh my goooodddd they're hereeee" Hinata jumped out of happiness, she seemed like a 5 year old who's just got her Christmas present. I laughed and looked at the stage. It couldn't be true, wow they really did it its was Jean, Sasha and Connie, they made their dream come true but the vocalist was missing.
"I'm gonna get some drinks be right back" they nodded so I started walking away when i heard her voice, maybe I was definitely losing it so i looked back at the stage just to see her standing there in front of the microphone and if it wasn't enough she saw me, I don't know if she recognized me though.
"Sorry that i was late so compensate the wasted time we gonna rock it" Her voice was hotter maybe I don't remember how her voice used to be to be honest. (Imagine a Scarlett Johansson voice)
I stayed at the bar for a while and then came back to my friends.
"Jesus where did you go New York again?" Maki said.
"No i was just getting some air but i'm back with some beer" Everyone got a beer and was drinking. Hinata was dancing and singing to their songs.
"This is the last song, hope you guys enjoyed it" Y/n winked and lit a cigarette, so she smokes now that gets me a little worried about her health.
The show was done and Akane and Hinata wanted to go to a after party where the Red Blvd would be so me and maki just follow along with them.
"This will be the day y/n l/n will look and realize i'm the love of her life" Hinata said in the car on our way there. I laughed awkwardly.
"Hinata... don't get too excited but I know them. We went to the same school and you know Levi, the dude i annoy very often through text well he's y/n's brother but don't get ahead of yourself me and y/n aren't exactly speaking terms so..." Hinata immediately jumped from her sit.
"WHAT, what a shame you're not in speaking terms, what happened though?" Oh no what do i say now shit.
"Nothing we weren't super close before so now we're basically strangers" i trued to brush it off and she bit it.
"Well i guess i have to do all the work" we got to the place and so pink haired girl bumped into me without saying sorry.
"Darliiiinnngggg, you were amazing on the stage" She was all over y/n that made me a bit sad but what did I expect for y/n to not date anyone after me that would be dumb of me. They got in the place the music was loud and a lot of people were smoking and drinking.
Me and my friends were planning on getting wasted today and have the most fun. Hinata wanted to get drunk so she could get some courage to talk with y/n and the rest just wanted to get fun and i was getting drunk to forget y/n.
Slight time skip
I was hella drunk and high, I bumped into someone and froze, we both froze.
The music playing was Hymn of the weekend of Coldplay and it just fit the situation perfectly. I first thought i was hallucinating but I wasn't. Y/n was gonna say something when Zero two interrupted with her stupid Darling.
"Hey darling... hurry up so we can go home" She was talking so seductively it made me angry for no reason. Y/n walked past through me and it was like the time had slowed down just for us. Once she was gone i woke up from my trance, shook my head and went on with my night but y/n was in my head the whole night.
Seems like I failed my mission.
