A/N: Okay so I figured out where I want the first bit of Dramione feeling to be. It's not in this chapter it might be in the next or possibly the one after it I honestly don't know. But I can't wait to write it! I really hope people start reviewin gon this so i know it's not a waste of my time.

Hermione woke up, showered, dressed and headed down into the common room where Harry and Ron where dealing off Bertie Botts every flavour beans.

" This one's a yellow green kinda colour." Harry said examining one. " I don't know what it is."

" Harry mate it's not worth the risk, don't do it. You might do."

Harry shoved it into his mouth and gagged.

" Harry what's wrong ?" Ron cried. Harry spit out the bean and looked up at Ron. " I think I got puke flavoured.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Stop being so dramatic." Ron looked up. " Dramatic? harry could've died!"

" Ronald it's not poisinoss, it's a candy."  Ron's ears turned red. " Still " He muttered.

"  Anyway, so how was lesson with Dumbledore Harry?"

" I'm not supposed to tell anyone but he said I could tel you both. " He looked around " there's too many people here, let's go to the lake." Harry stood up along with Hermione and Ron.

They made their way out onto the caslte grounds and sat the lake. Harry explained his lesson with Dumbledore.

Hermione was shocked. " They're called Horcrux's? I've never heard of them before. " " Neither have I" Harry said

" So why did Dumbledore tell you about them?" Hermione asked.

" Because he wants me to help him hunt them down. " Harry said.

Ron and Hermione gasped. " You going to help Dumbledore?" Hermioe asked. " Blimey mate!" Ron added.

Harry sighed. " Yeah." " But let's talk about something else. Something not depressing, okay?"

" Well let's go to breakfast then." Ron suggested.

" Sure." Harry agreed.

The trio started walking back up to the castle and into the great hall to the Gryffindor table.

" Bacon!" Ron cried. He dug into a plate full of bacon and devoured it.

Hermione pursed her lips but didn't say anything. She placed her own bacon onto her plate and started eating. She glanced up  at the Slytherin tableand searched. There was no Malfoy, but his usual gang was there. Wait, why was she looking for Malfoy in the first place?Because she was curious. She was curious about his constant mood swings. One minute he's calling her a filthy mudblood and the next he is helping her to remember how to make a potion?  What was going on with him??

Hermione finished her breakfast before Harry and Ron. " Well I think I'm going to read by the lake." She said, standing up. " Okay." Ron said. Harry nodded.

She grabbed her book bag that she had taken even though it was a weekend, and headed down to the lake.

She walked out the door and onto the bright green grass of the school grounds, down to her favourite tree that cast a shadow onto the crystal clear water of the lake. But as she got there, she noticd someone else already occupied it.

" I thought I was the only one that ever read here." She said to Malfoy. He jumped slightly and his book fluttered shut. Hermione laughed " I-I'm sorry!" She giggled.

Malfoy's face tinged a slight shade of pink and he glared, but it wasn't very convincing. " Shut up." He told her.

" I said I was sorry." She said.

" I know, and I said for you to shut up" He replied. But there was nothing menacing to his tone.

Hermione glanced at the title of his book. " Charms?" She asked him.

He nodded picking thebookback up. " Flitwick has been going at me for not mastering non-verbals yet." He didn't know why he was talking to her, but he knew he shouldn't be. But there was something about her unjudgmental kindness that drew him to her...

" Oh but they're so easy!" She said." Well I suppose not at first. but here! I'll show you!" She drew her wand form her pocket and pointed it at a red leave that had fallen from the tree. Suddenly it was levitating in the air

Malfoy tried not to look shocked. Honestly he didn't know how she always mastered magic before everyone else, and now he was regretting telling her about him not being able to do non-verbals. It was in his pride that he didn't want to admit she was better at him in something. Especially after everything his Father had old him groing up. Mudbloods are beneath him, especially with him being a Malfoy. So why could she do it and he still couldn't?

" Do you want me to show you how to do it?" She asked, looking at him.

" No." He said. He wasn't going to take lessons from a muggleborn, especially this muggleborn. He would figure out how to do it on his own.

" Well I'm going back to the castle." He said, standing up. " Bye Mudblood." He added. But again, there wasn't his usual menace to it.

Hermione watched him leave and turned her attention back to her book. But she couldn't concentrate. Something was wierd about Malfoy this year. Very wierd... What's going on? she asked herself.
