Hermione walked into her transfiguration class the next day feeling a little gloomy. By the time she had got back last night Harry and Ron had already gone to their beds. She hadn't slept very well last night because she was worried about Malfoy and Harry. What if Malfoy never fully recovered and Harry always had that on his conscience? She knew what that would do to Harry.. She had seen it before...

She remembered how much pain Malfoy had been in and cringed. It kinda made her feel a little bad. Even though she know it was insane that she was feeling bad for Mafloy of all people, it was just in her to be kind to people. Even people who spent the last 6 years bullying her..

She listnened to Proffessor McGonagall talk about non-verbal transifuration spells and the consequence of not doing them correctly and took notes. Eventually McGonagall toldthem to match up in pairs and practice a simple transfiguration non-verbal. Like usual, she paired off with Neville because Harry and Ron had paired with each other.

Sometimes she got a little nervous working with Neville..

" Do you remember how to say the spell?" She asked.

" Yeah, sort of. " He said.

" It's either yes or no Neville."

He hung his head. " No."

She told him the spell and they practiced all class. Hermione and another student in Ravenclaw were the only one's who had succesfully performed the non-verbal spell with the right results.

" Ten points to Gryffindor and ten points to Ravenclaw!" McGonagall Cheered. " I want you all to practice this charm tonight and I want an essay on when non-verbal transfiguration could come in handy. Due monday! Class dimissed.

The class groaned at the thought of another essay.

" What's next ?" Ron asked.

" We hav-"Hermione began but McGonagall interupted.

" Mr.Granger, could I speak with you for a minute?"  She asked.

" Of course!" Hermione replied. " See you in a few." She whispered to Ron and Harry who left the classroom.

Hermione walked up to the desk where McGonagall was sitting. " Yes Proffessor?"

McGonagall peered over here square spectacles. "It has come to my attention, Mr.Granger, that Mr. Malfoy is in the hospital wing."

Hermione's heart gave a small leap. She remembered what Snape told Malfoy about checking in on him in the morning to see if he was fit to attend classes.

She decided to act like she didn't know. " Is that so Proffessor? " She asked

" Yes Mrs.Granger and I was wondering if you could possibly do me a favour for the small amount of time that he will be in there." McGonagall asked.

" What do you want me to do Proffessor?" Hermione questioned.

" I was wondering if you might be able to bring him his school work and all assignments from all his classes and give him a breif over view of the lessons. "

Hermione was shocked. That could take time out of her studying.. It was almost like McGonagall read her mind " I know you have a very busy schedule, Mrs.Granger but I felt that you were the only student who was mature enough to do this for me. You don' have to stay and do your work there of course, just bring him his."

Ohh that had hit Hermione weakness. When McGonagall had told her she was the only student she felt was 'Mature' enough, it hit Hermiones weakness. And she knew she would do it now.
