The "Chosen" Ones arrived at the buffet. Their stomachs were grumbling for food. As the "Chosen" Ones were about to go get some food to eat, Eula showed them a table for them to sit at. Eula told Beidou NOT to order ANY alcoholic drinks. Beidou obeyed Eula's request.
The "Chosen" Ones sat at the table that Eula showed them. A friendly waitress approached the table to take the orders of the "Chosen" Ones.
First, the waitress asked the "Chosen" Ones what their names are. This is how she would get to know them easily. Xinyan told the waitress that she was Xinyan, Xingqiu told the waitress that he was Xingqiu, and Beidou told the waitress that she was Beidou.
The waitress ALSO wanted to ask the "Chosen" Ones what day and year their birthdays are on. This is how she would know their ages—indicating if they're LEGALLY allowed to order alcoholic drinks. According to the law, the MINIMUM age to LEGALLY order alcoholic drinks is 21. Therefore, it is ILLEGAL for anyone UNDER 21 to order alcoholic drinks.
Xinyan told the waitress that her birthday is October 16, 2004; Xingqiu told the waitress that his birthday is October 9, 2004; and Beidou told the waitress that her birthday is February 14, 1989.
From knowing their birthdays, the waitress found out that Xinyan and Xingqiu are BOTH 16, and Beidou is 32.
Now, the waitress asked the "Chosen" Ones what they would like to drink.

Waitress: Xinyan, what would you like to drink?
Xinyan: I would like a bottle of red wi–
Xingqiu placed his right hand on Xinyan's mouth, cutting her off.
Xingqiu KNEW that Xinyan was too young to drink alcohol, as he KNEW she was 16. Xinyan KNEW she was 16 as well.
Waitress: Xinyan, you're 16. You CAN'T have alcohol—you're TOO YOUNG!!!
Xinyan: Yes, I know I'm 16 and I can't get alcohol. Well, what else is there for me to drink?
Waitress: There's a WIDE variety of nonalcoholic drinks for you to choose from!
Xinyan: Like what?
Waitress: For nonalcoholic drinks, there is water, soda, lemonade, pink lemonade, cherry limeade, fruit juices, diet soda, root beer, and so on.
Xinyan: I'd like a glass of root beer!
As she heard Xinyan say root beer, Beidou was wanting to ask for some root beer as well.
Beidou: I'd like a glass of root beer too!
Waitress: Two glasses of root beer! On it!
The waitress got two glasses of root beer—one for Xinyan and one for Beidou. The waitress came back to the table and realized that she did NOT ask Xingqiu what he wants to drink.
The waitress walked up to Xingqiu, asking him what he wants to drink.
Waitress: Xingqiu, what would you like to drink?
Xinqiu: I'd like some ice-cold water, please.
Waitress: Sorry to keep you waiting, Xingqiu.
