"Rohan! Chto chert do you think you are doing up there??" Babulya yelled from the ground having just come from the shared bedroom to look for the young boy.

Ro, who had climbed up the tallest lopei tree in their artificially maintained enclosure was trying to lean out of the maroon colored branches and reach the rock hewn wall next to it. He knew that if Babulya or any of the other aliens in the tank caught him, they would be upset for fear of him falling. That's why he had gotten up exceptionally early in the morning to try and avoid getting caught.

Evidently his plan hadn't worked.

"Sorry Babulya!" He called out while scurrying back down the looping branches of the tree.

When he reached the bottom he stood in front of the older human with his head hung low to avoid her steely gaze.

Babulya sighed before pulling him in for a big hug. Babulya's real name was Nadya, but of the five in the enclosure she was the oldest at 60 so everyone called her Babulya which means grandmother in Russian, her native tongue before she was taken at 16.

Everyone in the enclosure had been abducted from their home planet to be bought as pets or slaves. They were kept in this enclosure and given meals regularly. The ten in this enclosure had become a close knit family despite being of different races and cultures.

Babulya and Ro were exceptionally close however, both because they had been there the longest (Babulya at 10 years and Ro at 12 years) and because they were the only humans among the bunch.

"You know that I am just worried for you. I know you want to explore as much of our tiny world as you can, but if you are hurt they might take you away from us, Ro." Babulya said in her soft crooning tone.

"I really am sorry Babulya, I won't do it again." Ro whispered.

A grunt and some rustling was heard before the lumbering form of Yug appeared out of the bedroom they all shared at the base of the wall Ro had been trying to latch onto.

Ro and Babulya separated to see why Yug had gotten up so early.

Yug was a newer member of the enclosure, but the 7 foot tall uris with his gray skin and his longer curly hair had quickly latched onto Ro as a younger brother figure in his life.

The tall uris drowsily looked around and yawned, flashing his impressive canines.

"Did we wake you? I'm sorry Yug..." Ro said sheepishly. Yug valued sleep above most things and was often disgruntled and only partially aware after being woken.

The hulking man zeroed in on Ro after looking around. He plodded closer before scooping up the boy in his arms with the intent to bring him back to bed as a snuggle buddy.

Babulya giggled as Ro clung to Yug and disappeared inside the relative darkness of the communal bedroom.

Ro looked up at the sleepy face of his big brother.

"Yug?" he whispered. "Are we going back to sleep?"

He snuffled a little in response.

"But I'm awake, I don't want to go back to sleep." Ro whispered a little petulantly.

Yug didn't respond, only dropping onto his mound of blanket and pillows to curl around Ro who was still in his arms. He fell asleep moments after.

Ro wiggled a little, testing the bonds of his captivity, but Yug's arms only tightened in response. Ro was pulled tight to Yug's warm chest. He tried to stay awake, but it was awfully hard to do so when surrounded by such warm comforting arms.
