Cabbexev reached the yoliz settlement only a few hours after he had set out. The forest was dense and it made it difficult to maneuver through even for someone as graceful as him. When he got there the yoliz immediately noticed his presence and started running about, likely trying to find their chief.

Cabbexev waited at the center of the village for a while, before they brought out an older looking yoli who was taller than everyone else in the village. Cabbexev had spoken to this yoli before when they had established their village on his land. He was reasonable if a bit dense at times.

"Gara Cabbexev, why are you here?"

"Chief Oosa, I am here to inquire about two pets who have gotten themselves lost in these woods. I have reason to believe they are somewhere in your village."

"Why would we go stealing your pets? We know enough to know you were nice to us in giving us this land."

"I know you likely didn't mean to, but they were lost in the woods. One of your members likely thought they were a random animal that they could take with them and keep, for food or as a pet maybe?"

"Huh... Well that kinda makes sense." After a while of them just standing there looking at each other a light bulb seemed to have gone off in Chief Oosa's head. "Oh, hey! My boy Tonnal grabbed some strange looking gremlins. He thought we could eat the vicious looking one and he could keep the softer one as a pet. I saw no harm in it."

"May I see them?" Cabbexev said with a sigh. He was glad he was getting somewhere.

They walked to a nearby tent and Cabbexev immediately heard the now weak growls of Kaneor. The sound immediately switched to a pleading trill when Kaneor smelled Cabbexev in the room.

"You gotta watch him, he bites pretty hard." Chief Oosa warned while he was opening the wicker cage he had put Kaneor in.

Kaneor immediately leapt out of the cage towards Cabbexev, who gracefully caught him. Cabbexev soothed the terribly worked up gan and whispered in his ear.

"You're okay now. It's alright sweet one."

Kaneor buried himself even deeper in his hold but still let out stressed trills.

"They took Ro." He gasped out.

"Where is the other one?" Cabbexev asked the chief.

"Tonnal gave him something he didn't take a liking to. Started throwing up and shivering. We took him to the jijiil to fix him up. I think they left a couple hours ago."

"Left where?" Kaneor growled.

"I'm not responding to my food ya little bugger." The chief said tauntingly.

Kaneor snarled in response as Cabbexev repeated the question.

"The jijiil left with my pet to where?"

"Oh probably some place to get medicine. He left in his float car thing."

Cabbexev had also met the jijiil of the yoliz settlement. They thought of him as some type of shaman, but in reality the boy had an average intelligence for a superior species (which is above average for a yoli) and received an education in the nearest town Ploouck.

He's probably taken his ship to the doctor in Ploouck. We'll have to go back to the house to get a ship and follow him.

"Thank you for your assistance chief. That will be all for now." Cabbexev said as he gracefully left the settlement and began to quickly make his way through the woods.

...............

Tyker, the jijiil of the yoliz settlement swerved in and out of traffic on his ship while making his way through Ploouck. He had music blasting and was singing along to the pop music as he pet through Ro's soft hair with one hand and drove with the other.

Ro woke up due to the loud music and abrupt movement and moaned in pain.

"It's alright little guy. We'll get you some medicine for that tummy ache." He said while grinning down at Ro in his lap.

Tyker pulled into the doctor's office holding bay for ships and hopped out, still holding Ro close to his body.

He was still singing lowly under his breath to the tune that had been playing as he strolled into the building and walked up to the receptionist.

"Hello, I was hoping to see Gidewn. He's a friend of mine."

"Do you have an appointment?" The receptionist asked blandly.

"Well no, bu–" They were interrupted when Gidewn came around the corner and loudly greeted Tyker.

"Hey man!!! What's up? I haven't seen you in forever!" Gidewn called out.

"Hey! It's good to see you. The chief's kid poisoned his new pet. I was hoping you'd take a look?"

"Of, course. Let me see what you got?"

Tyker held up Ro so Gidewn could see.

"Ooo. A human. Those are pretty rare, where'd you find it?"

"The kid found it out in the woods."

"Nice. What'd he feed him?" Gidewn asked as he examined the small human.

"Pickorins. Apparently only a bite though."

"Yeah that's enough for life threatening poisoning for a human. They're weak, but expensive pets."

"Expensive?"

"Yeah you could probably sell this one for 3500, maybe even 4000 coll."

Gidewn gave Ro a shot and immediately he started feeling better. The shivers reduced and his nausea all but disappeared.

Suddenly a man who had been in the waiting room and had overheard their conversation said.

"Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear. I'll buy the human from you. For 4100 if you give it to me now."

Ro whimpered. While he still couldn't understand what the yoli said, his translate was working just fine translating the words of the other two aliens and he understood very well, that he was just offered to be bought again.

Tyker and Gidewn looked at each other.

If I come back and tell the chief that the human died no one would doubt me. 4100 coll is enough to get me a newer model ship! Tyker thought to himself.

"Deal!"

Gidewn giggled and the man, who was a tall alien with deep purple skin and red eyes grinned happily as Tyker passed Ro over to the man.
