The flight home Kaneor continued to snuggle and scent mark Ro. Cabbexev listened as Ro giggled at all of Kaneor's ministrations for the first hour, before exhaustion caught up to Ro and he fell asleep, still being cradled and rubbed by Kaneor's smooth body and soft feathers.
"Don't wake him." Cabbexev warned softly.
"I won't." Kaneor said in an equally soft tone.
"Our poor baby is exhausted. He was probably stressed without us." Cabbexev continued.
"Yeah..." A moment passed and Kaneor let out a frustrated huff. "He still smells like someone else a bit. Can we wash him when we get home?"
"That sounds like a good idea. We're almost back, and when he wakes up from his nap, how about we all go get a bath together?"
Kaneor let out a warning trill. "I can't get wet."
"I know, pet. I've set up a dust bath in our bathroom that you can use for your tail. If you'd like to rinse your skin I have some cloth that you could use."
Kaneor relaxed. "That sounds nice." He whispered tiredly.
Cabbexev chuckled as his other pet nodded off into a dream.
"My boys were sleepy." He whispered to himself.

When they arrived back home Jiara, Cabbexev's personal assistant greeted them. As soon as he saw that both Ro and Kaneor were sleeping peacefully in the large alien's arms he breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiara had been running himself ragged with overtime, trying to find that darned pet of his Gara's. Cabbexev had been skipping work, and crabby when he did work, over the past week that the small thing had been gone. Jiara was incredibly relieved that his Gara would go back to normal after this escapade. He never wanted something like this to happen again.
Maybe I should secretly have the human swallow a tracker... Jiara thought to himself.
When Cabbexev got into his room, both Kaneor and Ro were slowly waking up.
"Hello, little one. Good morning, pet." Cabbexev crooned as he gave his boys kisses on their foreheads.
Both grumbled sleepily in response.
Cabbexev chuckled.
"Come on, wake up. It's time for a bath and then we'll all go to sleep, ok?"
Ro forced himself to sit up in Cabbexev's arms and blink sleepily, but Kaneor buried himself further into the warm, dark space between Cabbexev's chest and Ro's side.
Cabbexev sighed before walking into the bathroom and dropping Kaneor into a tub full of dust. The colorful sand plumed around Kaneor as he woke up abruptly.
Ro watched curiously as instinct seemed to take over Kaneor's eyes and he began rubbing and rolling into the dust before shaking himself off vigorously and then repeating.
Cabbexev shed his silky garments before walking gracefully into a large hemispherical tub full of perfectly heated water. Ro sighed as the warmth relaxed his muscles and he snuggled further into Cabbexev.
Cabbexev carefully rubbed Ro and then himself with soaps and oils. Afterwards Ro felt like a very content, limp noodle in Cabbexev's arms.
Curiosity piqued in Ro's mind, however, when Kaneor never joined them in the heavenly warmth.
"Cabbexev?" Ro asked.
"Yes?" Cabbexev responded. Ro nearly giggled when he heard how relaxed and noodle-like the large man sounded.
