My eyes have opened yet I do not recognise the person staring back at me.
Where am I?
How did I get here?
Then the realisation hits me. I lost myself.
Lost myself drowning in the idea of you.
The vision of what ifs blinded me for so long,
The tragedy within all this was that you left me behind.
In every possible way.
Emotionally and physically there was nowhere for you to be found.
My love wasn’t enough to keep you here so I lost myself,
Trying to find you dear.
