All In My Head | C.D

I was laying down in my hospital room, writing and doodling on a notebook. This is what I do when I'm bored, most of the time.

The others went to go pick up something to eat. Cam and Oscar wanted to stay but I told them no because I was fine.

All I could hear was the TV and my slight humming. As I was drawing, I decided to write something down:

Our friendship was like a wall,

It was standing tall.

Until she came along,

And blew up like a bomb.

I finished writing and started drawing around the writing. When I finished, I huffed and looked at my blanket-covered feet.

Just then, the door opened up and in came the others, and I quickly closed my notebook and acted like I was asleep.

"He-- Oh, she's asleep," Jasmine was about to yell out "hey," I knew it, but quickly stopped.

I heard plastic and paper bags being placed down on the table and someone walking towards me, then I felt someone shake my shoulder slightly.

"El? Wake up, baby, you need to eat," Oscar whispers. I couldn't help but smile so I did and opened my eyes.

"Were you actually asleep or--?" I shakes me head, smiling. He smiled back at me.

"Well, okay, but you have to eat."

I shook my head, cringing slightly. They were looking at me weirdly. Like what they saw was a big deal.

"What?" Cam asks. I look at him, tilting my head slightly, "You usually love to eat, what happened?"

I sighed slightly, being cautious about the stab wound.

"I'm not really hungry," I say, quietly.

He raises his eyebrows.

"Alright, but you have to eat today," i furrowed my eyebrows, "Why?"

"You leave today," Lauren smiles. I grin, "Really?" Jasmine nods her head and continues eating.

Everyone ate while I was still drawing on the notebook..

I'm finally out of the hospital, in my room, alone.

This is what I want, for now. Even if I need someone with me, I'm just getting the urge to be alone in the house right now, even if it's not safe.

I was deep in thought over some school stuff, until I got a call.

"El, it's Lauren. Jas and I are coming over because Oscar doesn't trust you being alone. We're staying over for the night and then Cam will be over tomorrow. Jack's taking us," Lauren explains. I sigh slightly, opening my mouth then closing it again, deciding there was no fight against it anyways.

"Okay," is all that comes out of my mouth.

"See you in a few," she says and hangs up. I put my phone on my lap and huff, of course.

Five minutes later, the front door opens and I hear voices.

They're here.

"Ella?" Jasmine calls, "Up here!" I yell and then hear them come up the stairs. They enter my room and I try moving but then I feel pain on the wound.

I cringe and they rush to my side. They helped me and took a seat in my bed.

"You shouldn't have walked yesterday, El," Lauren says.

"I didn't have a choice," I say, "Yes you did. You could have called one of us to pick you up!" Jasmine exclaims.

"Sorry.." She apologizes. I shake my head, "It's okay," I say smiling slightly.

"But guys, I think someone is after me," I say. They look at me, "What do you mean, El?" Lauren asks, tilting her head.

"I've been feeling like someone was following me for the past few times that I've walked."

They both look at each other and then back at me.

It was really quiet until Jasmine spoke up.

"You're not going to walk alone anymore," I was looking at my phone, but then looked up.

"What do you mean?" Jasmine took a deep breath, "I'm going to beg Jack to have the two of us transfer."

My eyes widened. Was she being serious?

"I'll do the same with Aaron, just so you're safe and because I'm getting pretty bored at my current school," Lauren laughs. I smile.

"Thanks guys, it means a lot."

"Anything for you," they both say, laughing and high giving each other right after.

The rest of the day, we decided to just talk and watch movies, since I couldn't do much because of the wound.

In the middle of watching movies, I received a message from Cam..

Of course..

I'll see you tomorrow, El!(: -Dallas.

I huffed quietly, so the girls couldn't hear. I looked over at them and saw them asleep.

Time for me to get sleep, as well...
