[A/N]: final chapter of the book! Ah!

"Ella, stop!" My sister screams, laughing, as I chased after her with a handful of whip cream.

Today was her 16th birthday, and we were supposed to get ready for the party, but here we were, running around the place with our mother yelling at us for playing too much.

I followed her into her room and saw her on her bed so I jumped on her and slapped her with the whip cream, dying of laughter. She squealed loudly. "Hey! Ella Jane, leave your sister alone!" My mom follows us to Cat's room and I get up, trying to catch my breath, leaving her room.

My stomach was hurting from laughing as I walked into my room to get ready.

I decided to wear a mint green skirt with black, long sleeved top that clung onto my body perfectly. I wore a belt that looked good with this outfit and black heels.

"Ella!" I heard my sister yell from downstairs. I walked over to my door and opened it, "What?"

Heavy steps were heard from the hallway and in came my sister. She was wearing a floral dress with a little brown belt around her waist, and a pair of brown boots. Her hair was slightly wavy and she looked great.

"The others will be here in an hour, so we need to get things set up!" she yells, even if she was in the same room as me, causing me to cringe and chuckle. I nodded and she sits on my bed, Thank you, El." She says softly and I tilt my head, confused.

She smiles at me and continues, "Thank you for understanding and for everything." I nod and smile back at her.

Cat told our mom about Omar and she wasn't quite too happy about it, but she accepted it anyways, even if it was going to be pretty difficult for her.

"Catherine Elizabeth Hansen! Get down here right this instant young lady!" My mother screams, causing Cat and I to look at each other wide eyed. "Oooooh, you're in trouble!" I say, laughing and adding, "on your birthday, too!" She rolls her eyes playfully and walks out of my room, saying, "Yes, mother?" As she leaves.

I shook my head and got up, walking over to my window and looking out of it. The sky was clear and the sun was shining bright, perfect day for a birthday.

Mostly our relatives have arrived and I was waiting for the others with Cat. We casually greeted our cousins, aunts and uncles, talking to them for a few minutes. It was around 5 in the afternoon, so it was kind of getting dark.

Then, there was a knock at our front door. I opened it and the others were here.

"Hey, guys!" I say and Cat was smiling at them, standing next to me.

"Hey! Happy Birthday, Cat!" Jasmine and Lauren say at the same time, hugging my sister. Omar walked up to her and hugged her, kissing her cheek, and whispered something into her ear, causing her to smile.

Jasmine was wearing a white crop top, black high waisted skinny jeans, and black and white Jordan's. Lauren was wearing a pastel white cover up with a two piece tribal romper and brown strap heels.

I noticed that Connor was wearing the same thing as Jasmine, except he was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Jack wore a dark blue shirt with jeans and vans. Cam had a gray colored shirt and black jeans on with converse. Omar was wearing a cream colored beanie, a black flannel, jeans and a pair of supras.

The boys were chuckling and shaking their heads and I told them to meet me in the back. The boys nodded and greeted Cat before all of them went towards the backyard, but stopped to say hi to mom.

Once I finished what was to be done, I walked to the back and closed the glass door, walking over to them. Everyone was talking and they didn't seem to notice me.

But what I did notice was Jack and Lauren holding hands and her leaning on his shoulder.

I decided to stay back a little longer with my arms crossed, walking up to them slowly and quietly, as I leaned on the frame, smirking a little.

By the time I got closer to the group, Jack kissed the top of Lauren's head.

"Alright, hey guys," I say, after a few minutes. They all turned around and smiled. Cam walked up next to me and kissed my cheek as I smiled.

"So, Cat, you're finally 16!" Jasmine says, smiling widely and we all laughed as Cat smiled and nodded, "How does it feel?" Lauren asks, elbowing her arm and smirking. I chuckled and Cat sighed, "I feel sorta old," she says.

I look at her, "What do you mean "you feel old"? Cat, you're younger than all of us!" I say, causing the others laugh and agree. She shrugs and chuckles.

All of us were just in the backyard, seated at the table while we talked about random stuff.

Well, the others were seated at the table, actually.

Cam and I were sitting on the ground by the pool, pretty far from the others, smiling at each other.

"You know, I've been wishing I'd be with you for quite some time now," I say, looking at him in the eyes. He chuckled and looks down, then at me, "I know. And I'd like to apologize for not noticing my feelings for you sooner."

My smile grew bigger and I kissed him softly. I pulled away and leaned on his shoulder, enjoying every minute while it lasts.

"Cat, El! Come back here and greet your grandma and grandpa!" My mother's voice is heard in the backyard and I looked over to the glass door. I nodded and watched as my mom left...

Cam's P.O.V

I watched as Ella got up from where she was and walk towards the door to greet her grandparents. After she closes the door shut, I looked over to the others and they were all talking, except for Lauren. She was looking at me with a slight smirk before going back to talking to the others, causing me to smile slightly.

The smile stayed on my face as I laid down on the grass, looking at the sky. The sunset was absolutely breath taking.

After a few minutes, the group got quiet and all that was heard was little whispers and chuckles from them. I looked over and they turned away from me, trying to act like they weren't talking about me.

I just chuckled and looked back up at the sky, admiring the beauty.

The beauty was great, and I think that's what caused me to drift off into dreamland.

"Cam?" Ella's voice brings me back to reality and I sit up, looking at her, "What? What happened?" I asked, looking around, and everyone else was still at the table, now joined by Cat once again, observing us. She shrugs and sits next to me.

"You wanna go back to the table and eat yet or do you just wanna lay here?" She asks, playing with the grass. I sat up, "Let's get food," I say and she laughs.

We walked back to the table and went inside the house with the others to get food.

But before I could food, Jasmine, Lauren and Cat pulled me to the side.

"Cam, you better take care of her," Cat warns and I chuckle, "Of course I will!"

"Alright, good. We don't want her hurt." Lauren says, glaring at me and I put my hands up.

"Guys, I'll take care of Ella. I won't do anything to hurt her," I say and they nod.

We all walked towards the table where the food was and I grabbed a can of soda with a plate of food, walking back out the door. But before I could make it back to the table, Jasmine whispered, "Use protection" loud enough for only me to hear while I drank my drink.

My eyes went wide and I started coughing.

Thankgod we were outside.

I looked at her and she was laughing while she turned away.

Wow, okay then...
