Ella's P.O.V

A usual boring Friday, how surprising (Note the sarcasm).

Funny because I should be downstairs with Oscar doing all those things couples do, but instead, I'm upstairs while Cat and Omar are down there.

Oscar and I have become distant for the past few days and it was frustrating me, but I didn't want to seem desperate, so I just had to deal with it.

I was drowned by my thoughts that I didn't even know Oscar was downstairs talking to Catherine.

"El? Oscar's here to see you," Cat knocks on my bedroom door and opens it. I look at her and sit up, "What for?"

She shrugs and leaves as I get up and walk out of my room. Oscar was standing in the hallway, leaning on the wall, looking down. I walked towards him and hugged him, but to my surprise, he didn't hug back.

I pulled away and looked at him, "Oscar, is there a problem?" I asked and he sighs, "Yeah, there is, actually." My eyebrows furrow and my heart is suddenly racing.

"Oh, um, what's wrong?" I tried to sound like I'm not anxious.

He looks at me for a few minutes before saying, "I'm going to miss you," I was confused, but realized what he meant. Except I didn't want to accept it.

"What are you talking about?" I asked him, hoping he was joking instead of being serious.

"I'm sorry El.. But, I, uh, I think we should break it off," he says, looking away from me. My eyes went wide and my mouth went dry. I didn't know what to say. "For... Uh, why?" I had to know. He just shook his head.

"Well, because we both have been distant from each other." He says and I look down, "Wh-" he cuts me off, "I'm so sorry, Ella. It's just, it's not working out so well," he says, "Please don't make this harder for the both of us," he adds.

I had to agree. Yes, it was hard, but I had to.

I nodded, "Alright.. Um.." There wasn't anything else I could say. He embraced me in a long hug before kissing the top of my head and whispered a little, "I'll miss you" and left the house.

My head was spinning and I leaned against the wall before walking back into my room.

I was staring at the ceiling for a while but decided to text someone.

My options could either be Jasmine and Lauren, or Cameron.

Of course, I chose the girls.

"Oscar broke up with me..." I send the text to a group chat we had and they reply back almost immediately. "What?" Jasmine sends. "When?!" Lauren soon follows.

"He broke up with me minutes ago," I send and then no one answers back...

Minutes later, Cam bursts through my bedroom door, scaring me to death. I jumped up from my bed and he stands by my door for a little while before walking up to me and hugging me tightly.

I hugged back and asked, "Cam, what are you doing here?"

He pulled away and looked at me, smiling widely before kissing me. At first, I was surprised, but of course, I kissed back and there was a huge spark.

We pulled apart and he looks at me right in the eyes, "I heard Oscar broke up with you.." He says, catching his breath. I nodded slightly.

"He did.. Wait who told you?" I asked and he chuckled. "Your friends texted me and told me the news," he smiles.

My lips curved up into a smile and I giggled, "Wow, news does go around quickly in the group." He nodded before holding my face in his hands before kissing me again.

"Hey gu-" Cat starts as she sees us, but stops mid sentence as we pull apart, again, "...oops, sorry. Okay, continue." She says, closing the door as she started screaming in the hallway which caused me to laugh and so did Cam. "But, uh, El, I need to tell you something," he says, and I nod, sitting on my bed and he sat across from me.

He sighs before saying what he wanted to tell me, "Well, Allison and I broke up." I looked at him with wide eyes.

Why was this such a surprise?

"W-What? Why?" I asked and he huffed, rubbing his hands on his jeans, "We had an argument on her attitude and she was, I guess, jealous of you."

I looked at him with raised eyebrows, "Jealous? What for?"

He shrugs, "It was because she noticed the way I look at you. The way I look at you all the time is in a such loving way, like I was so in love with you, and she wondered why I wouldn't look at her that way."

My lips were pursed together and I squinted lightly, "She also asked me to be honest if I loved you or not..." My heart started beating faster.

Yes, I know, he's told me he loved me before, but I wasn't so sure about it.

"Obviously, I said I loved you. Because, trust me, I truly do love you, El," he smiles at me slightly as he takes my hand in his.

I started blushing; hard.

"I love you too, Cam," I smile, leaning in and kissing him.

Suddenly, everything got better. I forgot about the problems that had been happening for the past few months at this moment.

Everything felt so right...
