Chapter 5: Coffee

-Felix is taking pictures of Jungkook as Jennie and Y/N watch from the side-

Jennie: Thanks again for doing this, Mr. Jeon.

Jeon Jungkook: I'm happy to help.

Felix: Uh...how about if we try a few with a smile?

-Felix takes more photos but Jungkook still doesn't smile-

Felix: Or not.

-as they watch Jungkook being photographed-

Jennie: You do realize that he hasn't stopped looking at you?

Y/N: He asked me to go for coffee afterwards.

Jennie: What?

-Jennie starts to laugh-

Y/N: Jennie, shh.

-after the photo shoot, Y/N and Jungkook walk down the hotel corridor-

Jeon Jungkook: So is he your boyfriend?

Y/N: Who?

Jeon Jungkook: The photographer.

-Y/N laughs-

Y/N: Felix? No.

Jeon Jungkook: I saw the way he was smiling at you.

Y/N: No, Felix is more like family. He's not my boyfriend.

Jeon Jungkook: And the guy at the store?

-looking at Jungkook with shock-

Y/N: Taehyung? No.

-Y/N and Jungkook are sat at the coffee shop, Jungkook pours Y/N some tea-

Y/N: Thank you.

Jeon Jungkook: You seem nervous.

Y/N: I find you intimidating.

Jeon Jungkook: You should.

-he places a muffin in front of Y/N-

Jeon Jungkook: Eat.

Y/N: Not to mention high-handed.

Jeon Jungkook: I'm used to getting my own way.

Y/N: Well it must get very boring.

Jeon Jungkook: Tell me about your family.

Y/N: My family? Um, okay. My dad died when I was a baby, so I was raised by my step-father. He's amazing.

Jeon Jungkook: And your mother?

Y/N: Um, my mother is on husband number four. She's an incurable romantic.

Jeon Jungkook: And you?

Y/N: Am I a romantic?

-Jungkook nods his head-

Y/N: Well I study English Lit, so I kind of have to be. Thought the photo shoot went well. Right? Jennie seems to be really happy.

Jeon Jungkook: I'm sorry, I can't.

Y/N: What?

Jeon Jungkook: I'll walk you out.

-Jungkook gets up; outside Jungkook walks beside Y/N-

Y/N: Do you have a girlfriend, is that it?

Jeon Jungkook: I don't do the girlfriend thing.

Y/N: What does that even mean?

-as they go to cross the street Y/N is almost hit by a biker when suddenly Jungkook pulls her out of the way-

Jeon Jungkook: Watch it!

-he holds onto Y/N and touches her face tenderly-

Jeon Jungkook: I'm not the man for you. You should steer clear of me. I have to let you go.

-Y/N clearly looks hurt-

Y/N: Goodbye, Mr. Jeon.

-Y/N walks away-
