Chapter 19: Meeting The Family

-Jungkook kisses Y/N which wakes her, she opens her eyes to find no Jungkook but a dress on the chair; Y/N walks down the stairs wearing the dress Jungkook had laid out for her-

Y/N: Where are we going?

Jeon Jungkook: Remember my mother mentioned dinner? My sister Jisoo in town.

Y/N: Yep.

Jeon Jungkook: You got everything you need?

Y/N: Yeah.

Jeon Jungkook: Dance with me.

-Jungkook and Y/N have a little dance before leaving-

-Jungkook and Y/N enter the Jeon residence-

Pigtailed Blonde Server: Good evening, Mr. Jeon.

Mrs. Jeon: They're here! You're here. Welcome, welcome.

Jeon Jungkook: Y/N, mother, you've met.

-Y/N and Mrs. Jeon embrace each other-

Y/N: Hi, lovely to see you.

Jeon Jungkook: This is my father.

Y/N: Hi, pleasure to meet you.

-they shake hands-

Mr Jeon: Nice to meet you too.

-Jungkook's sister walks down the stairs-

Jisoo: Is she here?

-Jisoo goes over to Y/N-

Jisoo: Oh, my God! She exists!

-Jisoo embraces Y/N-

-at the dinner table where Jennie is also there as Kai's date-

Jennie: It's a great apartment, and the rent's not ridiculous. Kai and Felix helped us move in. Felix is Y/N's friend, although I think Kai's trying to poach him. They've sprout quite a bromance.

-Jungkook holds Y/N's hand under the table-

Kai: He's a cool guy!

Mr. Jeon: Y/N, where is your family from?

Y/N: My step father's in Japan and my mom lives in Busan.

Mrs. Jeon: Busan? Which part?

Y/N: Gwangbok-dong.

Mrs. Jeon: How nice! Although I do hear it gets rather humid in Busan this time of year.

Y/N: Oh, my God, it does. It's stifling sometimes.

-under the table Y/N pushes Jungkook's hand away from her lap-

Y/N: Actually, I'm going to visit her tomorrow.

Mrs. Jeon: Oh, how nice.

-Jungkook looks surprised and displeased-

Y/N: Mm-hmm.

Mrs. Jeon: You hear that, Jungkook? Some children do visit their parents now and again.

-Jungkook whispers to Y/N as Jungkook's family are carrying on a conversation-

Jeon Jungkook: This is news to me. When were you gonna tell me?

Mrs. Jeon: Who wants coffee?

Jeon Jungkook: Actually, I promised Y/N a tour of the grounds. Excuse us.

-Jungkook escorts Y/N around the grounds-

Y/N: Jungkook, I cannot walk that fast in these shoes.

-suddenly Jungkook picks Y/N up and puts her over his shoulder-

Y/N: Ow!

Jeon Jungkook: When were you gonna tell me about Busan?

Y/N: What? You have no right to be mad!

Jeon Jungkook: Yeah, but I am mad. Palm-twitchingly mad.

-he spanks Y/N-

Y/N: Ow!

Jeon Jungkook: You're mine, all mine. Do you understand?

-he kisses Y/N but she pulls away-

-at night, Jungkook comes to Y/N's room as she lies asleep in her bed-

Jeon Jungkook: The woman that gave birth to me was a crack addict and a prostitute. She died when I was four. I remember certain things. Terrible things. I don't remember her, but sometimes I think I see her in my dreams.

-he touches Y/N's hand and she wakes-

Jeon Jungkook: Do you really have to go to Busan?
