I'm actually excited about writing this story so you'd think I'd update faster but nOPE I'm always on Instagram I need Jesus (on my fanpage bc my personal is lame as fuck I don't have friends what)

The last chapter was pretty terrible I apologize I hope this one makes up for it somehow

Also I don't know how hospitals work ok sorry ://

"I can't believe you're doing this to me!" Ashton whined, glaring out the window as Luke drove him to his doctor's appointment.

Luke rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything. He managed to schedule the appointment just two days after he mentioned bringing Ashton to the doctor (being famous meant getting faster doctor appointments, apparently), worried about how he could barely keep any food down.

"Look, I'm only doing this for your own good." Ashton huffed at that,

"You sound like an overprotective parent." Luke shook his head and took a turn into the hospital parking lot, making Ashton sharply inhale as he stared at the intimidatingly large building.

Luke turned the car off and hopped out, not surprised when he saw Ashton didn't move. With a sigh, Luke walked over to Ashton's side of the car. He knew his friend well enough that he wouldn't get out; it was kind of childish, but Ashton wasn't exactly mature.

Luke tugged on the car door handle, groaning when it wouldn't open. Typical Ashton, of course he locked the car. Luke thought in annoyance.

He looked into the window and saw Ashton laughing at him. Great.

"Ashton!" Luke tapped on the glass, "open the fucking door!" Ashton shook his head, smiling innocently. Luke didn't let himself get annoyed and shrugged,

"I guess I'm just gonna have to leave you there." He said slightly louder than he would've, so Ashton could hear him. The boy didn't say anything, and Luke began to walk away.

He thought Ashton would eventually follow him, but he was already walking into the hospital doors and Ashton was still in the car.

"Fuck," Luke cursed under his breath and turned back through the doors before anyone saw him, only to bump right into someone. "Sorry--" he stopped short once he saw who it was, "oh." He stared down at a panting and slightly nauseous looking Ashton.

The boy let out a breath, "Jesus, Luke! I didn't think you'd actually leave!" Luke shook his head for the seemingly millionth time that day, taking Ashton by the arm and dragging him through the hospital doors.

"We're ten minutes late, thanks to you." He said as he took a nervous Ashton to the reception area. Strangely, this part of the hospital didn't have the stereotypical 'hospital smell' or white interior. It was actually kind of nice, with its warm colors and almost homey decorations.

Luke tugged his friend to the receptionist's desk, who looked friendly enough as she typed away on her computer. Luke gently pushed Ashton in front of him to talk to the receptionist, causing Ashton to freeze up in fear.

The lady looked up from the slight shuffling noise, smiling kindly at the two boys. Her eyes landed on Ashton, "Hello. Ashton Irwin, right?" She glanced at her computer screen as she spoke, her nonthreatening voice noticeably easing Ashton.

"Yeah." She smiled and nodded, typing something as she looked back at Ashton with a humorous glint in her eye. "You're late, so you can go right on ahead."

Right when they sat down in the waiting area after checking in, a nurse peered through the doorway, "Ashton?" The said boy immediately tensed, eyes wide and afraid. Luke patted his shoulder,
