"And you'll be by my side until you die. Because that's where you Zodiacs belong."
If Akito said anything after that, (Y/N) didn't hear it. Her ears rang as she turned and ran away, away from the true monster plaguing the Sohma family.
"(Y/N)!" a familiar voice called. "Hey!"
She stopped. Her momentum threw her forward and she barely managed to keep herself from tumbling over, but when she saw who had spoken, she completely lost her balance and fell to the ground.
"Rin!" she cried, rising up unsteadily.
She rushed towards the Horse of the Zodiac, who was standing near a bench.
"Why are you out of the hospital? No-wait I need to tell you something."
"Don't worry. I'm fine now," Rin scowled, turning her head away.
"Rin," (Y/N) stressed, grabbing the other girl's arm tightly. "You have to know something. Akito plans to have us all live with him. Us Zodiacs. Together until we die."
(Y/N) felt bile rising in her throat as she repeated Akito's words. She swallowed it down.
"I don't know when, but it'll happen soon-"
"What?" Rin interrupted, her voice rising. She clenched her fists, nails digging into her skin. "Did he tell you that?"
Of course he'd tell her, she thought venomously, her heartbeat thundering in her ears. His favorite. The Fox.
"Yes." (Y/N) confirmed, frowning when Rin slapped her hand away.
"We'll be living here with Akito," she continued. "Everyone. Shigure-sensei, Yuki, you and Haru-"
Rin snarled when she heard Haru's name and surged forward, shoving (Y/N) to the ground harshly.
It was like a switch had been flipped.
"All of us Zodiacs know how he is! We know that could happen! But why now? Was that your idea?" Rin accused, standing over her with a murderous look in her eyes. "You want Haru to share your misery? To chain him to Akito's side forever? I won't let you do that! I won't let him! I won't!"
"It wasn't my idea!" (Y/N) shouted back, furious. "Rin, of course not!"
Rin hadn't slept in days, with nightmares and troubles plaguing her mind. These past few days she was visiting members of the Sohma family, desperate for information about the curse that bound them.
She had just spoken to Hatori, who told her nothing she didn't know before.
Her frustration and lack of sleep, coupled with (Y/N)'s news about Akito imprisoning them in his home soon, finally wore her down.
