I didn't know what to do. Marcus was pinned down onto the bed with a maid on top of him.
I don't think that's normal.
"Help..." he gasps as the maid started leaning closer to him. I pulled out my whip from under my dress ready to use it to pull her off of him without getting her badly hurt. But she'll still get hurt of course."That's enough Evangeline" orders Raven. The girl does some kind of ninja jump off of Marcus. He rolls off the bed holding onto his neck coughing madly. I kneeled down next to him rubbing his back trying to help him get his breath back. Looking back, I could see the girl tucking something up her sleeve. As she catches my stare, she gives me a little smile. She was one of those girls that annoyed me the most. Doing something terrible then smiling it off like it's nothing.
Bitch."She's deadly..." coughs Marcus making me avert my stare from Evangeline.
"Pardon me for my sister's actions" apologizes Raven, bowing down to us.
"IS THAT YOUR ALL GOING TO SAY? YOUR BLOODY SISTER TRIED TO KILL HIM!" I screamed, but his response was blant.
"And?""WHAT'S GOING ON?" bursts in Jester. He seemed to look more posh like then before, he was wearing a checked sweater with trousers.
"I HEARD YELLING FROM THE DINING ROOM!"
"THAT BITCH TRIE-" I started but Raven cuts me short. AGAIN.
"Evangeline attempted to kill Marcus"
Wow, so straight forward.
I was waiting for Jester to start yelling like crazy or hand out some kind of punishment like other nobles do, but instead he just sighs and shakes his head.
"I see, you need to be less violent Evie.""Of course master." she replies with a smile, but she had the same eyes as Raven. Smiling with cold eyes? Girl, you look like a murder.
"Father is something wrong?" calls a sweet voice from behind Jester. Coming out from behind appears a little girl. Beautiful and cute she was.
Pale skin, long wavy blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. She truly was a child of an angel.
"It is nothing darling." he replies with a smile.Marcus and I just stare at them, it must be nice to have a family. Marcus lost his mother instantly before he was born and his father suddenly left him behind. As for me, I was picked up by Marcus when I was left lying half alive on the streets. I had no idea what had happened to me.
Nothing.
Nothing at all."Who are those people?" she asks, hiding behind Jester. He kneels down next to her with his arms around her.
"These are the people are going to protect us from that monster, darling."
Her eyes widened with fear as her face turns pale.
"FATHER! I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WEREN'T GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!" screams Christina as she jumps at Jester violently, pushing him back a little.
"It's for your own good darling" he says sternly holding her little shoulders, but she refuses as she shakes them off and jumps away from him.
"NO! ITS ONLY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!" she screams running out of the room. Jester didn't even bother chasing or screaming after her. He simply shook his head as Evangeline runs after her, calling out her name.
There was a lone silence between all of us. The air was eerie as the sound of the clock ticked and tocked."Pardon me for awhile" apologizes Jester breaking the silence as Raven helps him up and exits the room.
"What-just-happened" exclaims Marcus as he grabs onto my arm, using it to help him stand up.
"Dunno" I reply as I feel a sharp sting cross my non existing face.
"MARCUS!" I screamed trying to grab my mask in his hand.
"AHAH! YOU ACTUALLY LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! AROUND ME!!" he teases, running around the room waving my mask in the air. I jumped on top of him in the instant I ran close enough to him. But as I jumped on top of him, he threw the mask across the room, landing right next to the door. Sitting on top of him I could hear him whistle.
"That's a good view"
I could feel my face growing red and hot as I jump off of him, running to grab my mask. Slamming on my mask I could hear Marcus bursting into laughter from behind.
"Perv!" I hissed, storming out of the room and into the hallway. Looking up and down the hallway, I tried to decide whether to take a stroll around the mansion or go and rest in my luxury room. Suddenly Marcus's laugh from behind instantly made me walk down the hallway.Even though it was just a hallway, it was beautiful. But it seemed awfully familiar. I knew every single room that was there all of a sudden. It was as if I had already been there.
I stopped infront of a family painting that was two times bigger then me. There was a beautiful picture of a young pregnant lady with black hair and blue eyes being held by a handsome looking man with brown eyes and very dark brown hair. There was a little script under the painting as I trace my fingers over it trying to read the cursive writing."For the Most Lovable family in Brisbane.
May You Forever Rest in Peace.
Laura Nesor, Lucifer Dlof"Touching. It really was. I would cry if I could, but I couldn't.
To have died at such a young age with an unborn child must've been heart breakening. Suddenly I hear small whimpers from the door behind me. I knocked on the door and slowly opened it.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Is anyone here?" I called out again, only to hear a vicious but sweet voice.
"GO AWAY!!"It was Christina.
