"Well you see, I have been getting a feeling that someone has been lurking around our house. I am not sure why, but I am sure that it is to kill someone in my household" Jester begins as Raven hands Marcus a folder of pictures.
Flicking through the pictures we notice shadows in every photo. There were atleast 5 photo's. One in the tree's, the other was on the banks of a lake.
"And you're telling us to?" asks Marcus as we examine the photo further.

"I want you to find the intruder and get rid of him" Jester replies as the nice and calm look turned into a mean and sinister look.
I was fine with killing. Most of our jobs were always like this. Killing, assasinating, murdering, capturing, inspecting or just helping an old lady getting her cat down from the tree.
We would do any job, as long as we earned the money we needed to survive.
"AND" adds Jester as he takes out his little locket and showing us the picture inside. It was almost heart melting. There was a photo of a young girl with beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes. She was like a child from an angel.
"This is my daughter, Christina Martinez. She's usually the happy type that laughs and smiles at everything."

"And does she have anything to do with this?" asks Marcus, we can only do one thing at a time. Afterall, there are just the two of us.
"I think..." replies Jester sounding uneasy.
"You think?"
There was a long pause, Jester looked up at Raven as if he was getting him to start talking. But he stayed silent as he continued looking forward with his emotionless face.
"Well I just think the intruder had something to do with my daughter. She's been feeling down and hasn't been talking lately... it's like she completely changed."

"I see..." Marcus mumbles as he stands up.
"Pardon me for awhile, Tesla and I will just have a little private conversation to sort things out" he calls back as we walk into the kitchen.
"What do you think we're gonna do?" I ask leaning on the wall and he sits back down.
"Dunno, it sounds more complicated then it looks." he replies putting both of his hands behind his head as he rocks on his chair. There was a slight pause between us as we figure out what to do. Honestly I thought it was simple. Capture the intruder, make him cough up what he did to the girl, then kill him... or put him in prison.
"No" Marcus snaps as he look at me.
"What?" I reply confused as to what he was saying 'no' to.
"To what your thinking. Capture the intruder, interogate him then kill him."
"Well I was also thinking of putting him in prison instead of killing him" I snapped but stop as he raises his eyebrow. How did he know what I was thinking?

"Well I don't think the intruder's human" Marcus starts trying to change the subject.
"What?"
"I mean I don't think intruder's human. The intruder could be a demon or something" he adds as I cross my arms.
"Do you believe in that stuff?" I ask
"I believe you have no face." Marcus answers as he looks at my mask. But he does have a point. Someone without a face like me shouldn't exist. But I exist. So does that mean demons should exist as well?
"Well the world is a big place" I mumble adjusting my mask as I start to feel insecure.
"Then if it is a demon then there should be a reason why it's there" he adds as a little smirk crosses his face as he gets up to whisper something in my ear.
"I don't want you to capture the demon just yet. Find out why the demon is there and what's up with the family"

As he finished those words we heard a few knocks on the kitchen door.
"It would be nice of you not to make master wait so long" asks Raven as he stands tall with his cold eyes staring at us.
"Sorry for that" apologizes Marcus as he walks out of the kitchen. Now it was just me and Raven. We stared at each other for awhile. I didn't know what to say.
Hello! My name is Tesla, what's yours?
God.
Those moments when you just don't know how to start a conversation infront of a hottie.

"Sooo" I began but Raven cuts me off short.
"Master asked me to not let you come into the room."
"Pardon?"
"Master asked me to not let you come into the room." repeats Raven with his cold voice.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Because it's something you're better off not knowing." answers Marcus as he walks into the kitchen out of nowhere with Jester behind him. I gave Marcus a stare as he tries to avoid it.
"Tesla, you'll be my daughter's guard with Marcus from now on until you capture or kill that intruder" orders Jester as the cold sinister look on his face hadn't reverted back to the nice warming look.
"Fine by me" I agreed with suspicion. What is it that they aren't telling me?

Walking out of our apartment, I quickly ran up to Marcus and asked him what was going on.
"What is it that you don't want to tell me?"
"Can't tell you. But you'll see when you get there" he whispers back at me as I grunt and walk off into the awaiting carriage.

The carriage was beautiful. Almost like a miniature bed room. The seats were cushioned with some kind of red furry fabric over it. The floors of the carriage were made out of wood that was glistening in the sun. It was same with the ceiling that covered our heads and the windows that showed my reflection clearly. The reflection of my mask.
I reached out to the windows and started tracing my mask.
I wonder what my face looks like.
