"Well you can keep them, okay?" says the lady pulling out a fresh warm loaf of bread from her bag and handing it to the girl.
"Thankyou" replies the girl as he eyes lighten up as she runs to her brother pestering him to eat again. But his eyes remains cold as he glares at the lady. The lady started getting nervous but she didn't do anything except scratch her face, thinking of what to say. Then her face lightens up a bit as she approaches the boy that is still being held by her little servant.
"Do you want me to take you home?" she asks holding the other boys free hand. The cold look in his eyes doesn't change and the tone in his voice was more different and threatening from when he talked to his sister.
"We don't have a home"The lady stared at him as if she heard something extraordinary. Letting go of his hand she gives her little servant a look as the left corner of his mouth rises, grabbing the girls hand once again pulling them into a carriage. The girl looks over to her brother as his neck length hair flew over his eyes."Raven?"
He looks over to her trying to give her a smile.
"Don't worry"
I followed them into the carriage, as the girl stepped into the I could see her jaw slightly drop and her eyes widden. "Wow" she gasps silently enough for only her brother to hear, but the little servant boy looked at her and smiled.
"Where are you taking me and my sister?" asks the boy flatly as he looks out into the passing buildings.
"It's a surprise" replies the lady, "May I ask what your name is little boy?"
"Raven... Raven Walker." he replies looking down at the carriage floor.
"And this must be your sister. What's your name?" asked the lady as she looks at the girl who is breathing on the window and drawing on the steam.
"Evangeline Walker!" replies the girl with a massive smile crossing from ear to ear. I was shocked. Sure, they had the same name as Raven and Evangeline, but I never imagined that they were Raven and Evangeline.
"What's your name miss?" she asks getting closer to the lady as the lady pats her head.
"It's Laura Nesor, Evangeline."
"OH! MISS LAURA! MAY I ASK THIS QUESTION?" exclaims Evangeline as her face brightens up.
"Sure!" she replies with a calm look.
"WHY DO YOU HAVE A BUMP ON YOUR TUMMY?"
Laura looked surprised for a second, but when she placed her hand on her stomach, She simply smiled and said
"Its a surprise."Suddenly the carriage stops and the driver jumps down from his horse to open the door.
"We have arrived ma'am"
They hopped down from the carriage thanking the driver, all except Raven who just walks past without a care. In front of them was a mansion. The mansion that I was now at.The children looked surprised like Marcus and I when we first saw this place.
"Raven, Evangeline. Welcome to my home, the home where you'll be living for from now on" announces Laura.
Evangeline squeels and lunges at Raven giving him a bone crunching hug.
"Wait. What. They are?" speaks the butler boy for the first time.
"Yup! Now you'll have friends to play with! Now go find them something to change into" laughs Laura as the butler boy spins around to Raven and Evangeline with a grin across his face. Raven and Evangeline exchange looks before being pulled by the boy into the mansion. As they run down the hall, wheezing and puffing, Evangeline manages to gasp, "Wait...! Gotta... rest..."
"NOT YET!" the boy laughs as he pulls them further down the hall way. Evangeline looked like she was going to cry or faint at any second while Raven didn't even break a sweat. Acting cool as usual. He didn't change one bit.
Finally stopping in a large room that's quite similar to mine, the butler boy releases Raven and Evangeline.
Without a second thought, Evangeline goes flying for the bed. "My legs... are dead."
"Is this going to be our room?" asks Raven as he jumps onto the bed with Evageline as if the bed was heaven itself. The boy jumps on it with them sending them flying into the air,
"YUP!" announces the boy standing up with his hand at his waist with the biggest smile I have ever seen.
"I'M JUDAR! NICE TO MEET YOU!"All of a sudden, the bedroom scene disappeared, returning back to the forest with Evangeline leaning over me.
"Did you see?" she asks.
Jolting up from her lap, I stared at her face, comparing it to what she looked like when she was still a kid. Same black hair, just a lot longer and a much more matured look.
"Yeah... so the lady that saved you was the original owner of the mansion?" I ask as she nods at me with the same calm look as Laura, "and the boy that accompanied her is Judar?... The boy that Jester is asking us to get rid of?"
"Yes. You can understand why we won't let you kill him now, right?"
"Yeah..." I reply standing up, brushing the dirt off of my dress. I felt a pair of eyes just staring at me from the tree's, giving me the goosebumps."We should go back to the mansion now, it's getting late" I shivered trying to make it look like I was cold.
"Sure thing" she replies as we start walking out of the forest. I couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was still stalking us.
"Don't worry, he's just superstitious of you",
I stared at her as if she knew what I was thinking.
"He?"
"Judar." she smiles looking back into the forest as the feeling of the daunting eyes faded away.
Then I remembered about the weird world of them still being kids.
"So um, how did you send me into that weird world?"
She looks at me as if I was so stupid that I couldn't figure it out. She was right though. I am stupid. But that's because I rely on my instincts.
"That wasn't another world, I just simply put you into my memories."My jaw almost dropped. Not that I have one. But you get the point.
"Um. HOW?!" I exclaimed stopping dead in my tracks.
"How you say?" she laughs, I stared at her waiting for her to say something like 'MAGIC!' but instead. Her eyes changes to a blood red colour, as little black angelic wings sprouted from her back and a little tail came out of her... you know where."Because I'm a demon."
