I stumbled backwards away from Evangeline as a dark aura surrounded her. My body was paralyzed. My hands wouldn't move. I couldn't get my gun.
"Surprised?" she snickers evaporating into a pile of smoke. My eyes dartedd around trying to find her as her laugh echoes around me.
"What are... you?" managing to choke out some words as a pair of red eyes appear before me.
"I just said I was a demon" she chuckles flying around swiftly flapping her black wings. Lifting her nose up to me she suddenly asks, "What are you?"

"What?" jumping away from her but she follows me sniffing me again.
"You don't smell like a human." taking a another sniff, "You don't smell like a demon either." then taking a longer sniff grabbing my shoulders knocking me to the ground. "Or an angel. So what are you?" reaching for my mask.
For the first time since Evangeline's transformation my body finally listens to me. My foot goes straight through her body as I try to kick her off of me.
"That's not going to work, I'm a shadow demon." ignoring her advice grabbing my gun shooting at her head until the bullets run out.
"I said it's not going to work."

"SHUT UP!" I scream with a desperate tone throwing my gun away grabbing out my dagger swipping it at her. It went right through her. She was like coloured air.
"Jeez..." she sighs jumping off of me turning back into a human. I crawled away from her grabbing my empty gun holding it at her head.
"I'm not going to do anything to you, I was just playing arounnd" she jokes walking towards me with her hand out ready to help me up. Even if she was just playing around, I still hesitated to take her hand.
Marcus was right. Demons do exist.

Getting up without Evangeline's assistance, we walked back to the mansion in silence.
"Soooo... why won't you let anyone see your face?" asks Evangeline trying to get me talking, but I ignored her placing my hand onto my mask.
"Like I tried taking it off while I was in demon form but you kept on attacking." she continues as I stay quiet trying to resist my urge to reply. It seemed like she gave up on talking as we continued walking on the pathway back to the mansion. We were outside the door. None of us volunteered to open it. Instead, Evangeline starts speaking again.

"I know you don't want to talk to me. But please just answer this question. What are you?"

I bolted inside and ran straight into my room slamming the door behind me, jumping onto the bed and shoving my face into the deluxe fluffy pillow. "I'm human. I'm human. I'm human" I muffled trying to not think about my face.
"I'm human right?" turning around facing the ceiling taking off my mask revealing nothing but a blank white coloured oval. Getting up from the bed, I walked to a fancy wardrobe pulling out a towel and headed to the bathroom.
Stripping off my clothes I entered the shower and turned the knob as water started raining down on me.
I stared down to the tile ground as the water ran over my body washing all the dirt and grease off of my skin.

The thoughts of what Evangeline had asked me repreated themselves in my head. Turning the water off, I stepped out of the shower and stared at my naked body in the mirror.
I had every component of a normal human.

"Tesla?" came a voice from the door. My face darted towards to the door while grabbing my towel and holding it up to cover my naked body. Her face was pale then pale and her eyes widened with fear.
"DON'T LOOK! EVANGELIN!" spinning around dropping down to my knee's hiding my face from her. I didn't even need to hide it anymore, because she's already seen it.

My mind was racing. I didn't know if I should kill her before she turns into thaat demon form of hers. But if I did attempt to kill her and fail, then she'll surely kill me. A hand touches me on the back while another comes out from the front holding me tightly as small drops of water come down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you had such a scar" criees Evangeline as she hugs me even tighter.
What? People would run away and scream for help. So why?
"Aren't you scared?"

"Why should I? I'm a monster myself" weeping touching my face. Great. Now my heart is getting all tense and heavy as I wrap my arms around Evangeline. Even if I wasn't crying on the outside, I was literally crying on the inside.
Then it hit me. I'm still naked.
Pushing away from our little embracement. I wrap the towel around myself as the heat raises to my face.
"Pfft. Sorry about that, but since we're all girls. You know" she giggles getting up and walking out of the bathroom.
"Yeah..."

"By the way." stopping in her tracks looking back at my face.
"You only have about a month left before it's gone for good."
I stare at her likee she was talking nonsense. Well, I hope she's talking nonsense.
"What? You mean my face?" trying to verify what she really meant.
"Well, yeah. What else are you missing?" she replies before walking out of my room.

What.
