Nagisa smiled, "Just like Cho."
There were in a rental; Nagisa was driving; all packed and heading out of town. They were barely halfway there; but Ushio had become sleepy when they left and couldn't keep awake by the time they reached the first stop.
"Wake up sleepy head; pitstop"
Ushio mumbled from her spot in the backseat and sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Nagisa was already out of the car and she followed, only to be met with a scenery of a large, dense forest.
"Wow."
"Ushio, over here."
Ushio wasn't sure she wanted to go there. There was a man standing next to Nagisa, and he looked weird. He had kitty ears on, as well as paws and a tail. The weirdest thing was that he looked like he was wearing a skirt. Ushio did not like this at all.
"Thanks for having us Tiger. Where are Mandalay and the others?" Nagisa asked.
"Back at camp. They're preparing for another batch of trainees coming first week of August. So for the next week or so; it's just gonna be us and this here shrimp." Tiger announced and cast his gaze to ushio before smirking, "Let the games begin!"
Before Ushio was fully awake to realize what was happening, she was grabbed around the waist, thrown over the cliff and into the forest like a spear, the man laughing behind her.
"Really?" Nagisa looked off the ledge after Ushio, "Was that necessary?"
"Just a little warm up. You should join us!"
A surprised yelp left her mouth when she felt a hard punch push her over the edge and after Ushio; Tiger close behind. Not wanting to have to deal with the trouble, Nagisa reached out her left arm; hidden knife shooting out of it and latching her onto the cliff face. She watched Tiger go down alone.
"Damn that man." She muttered before pulling herself up and driving the rest of the way back to camp.
There was a lot on her mind so the drive took much shorter than she expected—for one; she was absent minded and speeding— but she made it there in one piece. Mandalay and Kota were there to welcome her as she unloaded the bags.
She met Kota's eyes first, his glare the same as usual and her blank response the same. Then he frowned at her.
"Did you bring me something?" He asked her and Nagisa hummed, finger on her chin.
"Bring you something? I've got no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps you mean..." She pulled out a wrapped package from the bag on her shoulder, "This?"
Kota inspected the package before he gave a big smile, grabbing it, thanking her and disappearing inside.
"What was that?" Mandalay asked.
"A little something he asked me to get overseas for him." Nagisa waved her off, "Nothing to worry about."
Mandalay smiled, "You know, you're one of the only heroes aside from us that he... Likes. It's good to see him smile like that."
"Always nice to hear. I wish I was here for just a visit, but like I said over the phone, I've got a case I'm working on; I needed a place away from public masses."
"Speaking of which... Where is...?"
"With Tiger." She intercepted, "Can we head in? There's some info I'll be receiving soon."
"Sure. You know your way around."
