The soul is what makes you feel alive. It gives you life with a sense of joy or despair. I ponder, what will be to a soul without a 'soul'?
THE SOULLESS SOUL.
I feel it now. I feel like I feel nothing; like there is no heart under my chest. My soul is missing. I feel astray, just like a living dead body with no empathy.
Our souls are what make us human. Our emotions are our robustness and disruption. Our souls are the bridge that connects us with God. When we are physically successful, we might think that we are contented and enough. We think that our life is flourished with happiness and blessing because we earn everything physical. How about our soul?
We arrogantly say that we do not need God to light up our path because we think that everything has been sorted out. I laugh. Is there anybody in this world that his life is sorted out? A life without having to struggle and survive on daily basis? I doubt that.
A soul is what makes us strong to carry life's burdens on our shoulders. It is our souls that are spiritually bonded and relied on with the Creator. So, how about a soulless soul?
The bonding is weakening because of the sins we commit. We feel that God is far away from us but He is near to His servants.
"And indeed We have created man, and We know whatever thoughts his inner self develops, and We are closer to him than (his) jugular vein." (Quran 50:16)
A soulless soul needs to recharge its iman and link back its connection with God by performing salah. I can spot the difference when I take care of my salah. My soul feels alive again.
I am no longer a soulless soul because I know my soul belongs to ALLAH.
