I tapped around my pockets to try and feel for my phone, excited to get on my way and head to my apartment. My pockets were empty???

It's 3AM, I just arrived at Seoul as a foreigner with almost no knowledge of Korean language and I just lost my phone and wallet. In the middle of the airport. Where the hell was I meant to go now?

"Annyeonghaseyeo..? I'm sorry. Can you speak English? I just lost my wallet and phone and I really need to get home." I tried to approach a younger teenage girl I saw across the hall. I figured someone my age would have better knowledge of English right? I know I could've asked the airport staff but I just panicked and all I wanted to do was go home after a long flight.

Luckily, she was nice enough to point the bus stop out for me from what she could guess I was trying to say despite her being in a rush to get home. Words couldn't describe how grateful I was to at least managed to have gotten to the bus stop with her help.

I vaguely tried to recall what the bus number to the place was and hopped on to bus 25. I snuck my way in and pretended to tap my card on the reader, and the driver barely gave a second look. Sighing out of great relief, I found a seat and closed my eyes.

I could slowly feel the tears gather under my eyelids. No, I had no time to get emotional. I just got here, and I'm sure I could get some help somewhere, somehow. I opened my eyes and took out my notepad and pen, trying my best to pen down the address I could only vaguely remember.

A bunch of people got off at the next stop which made me wonder if it was possibly an important junction that would lead me home. Honestly, I just couldn't stop overthinking. Happy that some seats had cleared, the standing passengers slowly found their seats. I didn't really pay much attention, but a guy who looked around 18 sat beside me. I continued to write my information in my notepad, begging what I could recall was right.

Admits my frantic writing, the bus driver started yelling at me to get up. The guy sitting beside me had just been standing there, his arms crossed, giving me a confused look. He was wearing a baseball jacket, blue sweats and a white shirt.

The bus had stopped for a while now and I hadn't realised. I looked around me and no one else was left. The angry bus driver wouldn't stop yelling. The guy in the jacket just raised his eyebrows at me, giving me a "why are you still sitting there???" look, so I quickly packed my stuff , bowed at both of them and got off.

I immediately ducked on the floor, my hands wrapped around my head as I let go of my things. Could this day get any worse? The tears I had been holding in immediately fell from my eyes. I heard footsteps behind me and the sound of the bus doors closing and driving away.

"Maybe this entire dream was wrong. Maybe I should've never come to Korea. I should have stayed home. I miss Mom, I just-"

"Wanna go back?" I looked up immediately. Who just cut me off?

"Yeah, I get it. I did too. But why are you crying when you just got here?"

It was him. The dude who sat beside me, the one who looked 18, dressed in the jacket and sweats. And he had an Aussie accent... I could've sworn he was a local 5 minutes ago.

"Sorry what, you speak english?" I asked, still in complete shock and frustration.
