Gasp
Jungkook sits up with a jolt. Cold sweat runs down the sides of his face, as it gets caught in his hair.
He takes deep and shallow breathes as he sits up in his black sheeted bed. He places a hand on his chest, right above his heart. His other hand combs through his messy bed head to try and keep the fringe down.
Jungkook glances around his now sunlit room till his eyes land on his clock. It read 7:15 with blue blinking numbers. He slowly removes the comforter from around his waist and moves to stand on the hard wood floor.
As he stands up he feels a wave of lightheadedness. He stumbles by his nightstand before catching himself on it. His breathing patterns turn uneven and quick.
Calm down you're alright. Just breath.
Jungkook regained his balance before drowsily walking into his bathroom.
Once he reaches into his connected bathroom he splashes his face with water. As he closes his eyes small flashbacks flare into his mind. He repeatedly splashes his face with cold water to get rid of the horrid nightmare. But each time he closes his eyes he is back in that long dark corridor.
Jungkook slams his hands onto the sides of the sink as he looks at himself in the mirror.
Black eye bags, dripping face, and crazy hair is what he is met with. He looks awful. The events of the previous night messed with his, normally sturdy, sleep schedule.
Jungkook looks away, as if ashamed of the person in the mirror. He needs to pull himself together before he heads to school.
~~~
Heavy foot steps trudge down the stairs of a vibrant home. Soft humming and the sound of dishes clanking is heard from the kitchen.
Jungkook drags his feet over to the table tiredly as he sits down on an empty stool. He groans with sleepiness and doesn't catch his friends concerned stare from the kitchen sink.
Suddenly a steaming plate of eggs is placed in front of his face. He looks up to see his best friend smiling warmly at him. Jungkook can sense some concern from his friend as he withdraws his hand from the plate.
Jungkook lets out a small thank you as he starts eating the food.
"Kookie are you feeling ok? You look dead." Jimin asks once he sits next to the younger.
"Ya, Jimin, I'm ok. I just had a rough sleep." He responds with no emotion. Jimin looks at him with more concern as he continues to eat his eggs.
"Jungkook you know you can tell me anything right?" Jungkook slowly nods his head. "Ok then can you please tell me why you look so out of it?" He casted his gaze to his best friend before sighing slightly.
"Well," Jungkook started quietly, "I had another dream." He looks to Jimin, seeing him widen his eyes before encouraging him to speak further.
"Um. You know how my dreams usually are. They consist of happy things or things that I should fix the next day. Sometimes they help me to save people."
"Ya," Jimin chuckled, "I know. One time you saved me from burning the apartment down." Jungkook laughed slightly.
"And you know how it helps me with helping people. Even though I've never had a dream about myself. I've never once had a dream where it's just me as the sole purpose." Jungkook shakily looks at Jimin trying to prepare himself for what he's about to say.
"Well Jimin, I finally had one about myself." He smiles sadly before his face twists into fear.
"And it wasn't pretty."
