TW: MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH, BLOOD, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, SUICIDE

The prison cell that held the emotional murderer was cold. The tears on said murderer's face were old and unchanging. His emerald eyes were vacant of anything but sadness and guilt. In the corner of the cell, sat a pile of potatoes that hadn't been touched in days.

"Sapnap?" Dream had asked in confusion when seeing the raven haired boy being dragged into the prison cell. Sapnap whimpered as the prison guard shoved him to the floor and pulled out  his weapon.

"Sapnap!" Dream was panicked. "I'll give you the revival book! I'll do anything! Just don't touch him."

Dream stares at that same spot where Sapnap was. There is still blood stained on the side of the wall and screams buried in the cracks of the crying obsidian and embedded in Dream's head. They are all he can think about. Sapnap was in so much pain, and no matter how much begging Dream did, Sapnap still suffered in the end. Dream would blame no one but himself for Sapnap's suffering.

Screams and tears  filled the room— Sapnap's and Dream's. Screams of pain and terror.

"Dream? Dream!" Sapnap's cries of fear filled the room as he gazed teary eyed at his best friend who he hadn't seen in so long.

"Sapnap! You'll be okay Pandas. I promise." Dream gave  him a hopefulness, and obviously fake, grin for reassurance. Dream could bring him back. He had the revival book. He would be able to bring Sapnap back.

Dream looked at the sword that Sam had left in here. It was one of a few way outs. He would be able to see Sapnap again. He could do it. He could just plunge it into his heart and he would see Sapnap again.

Dream slowly stood up and started to walk towards the sword...

The sword came down with one final, "I love you," from Sapnap to Dream. And suddenly the brightness in Sapnap's eyes disappeared. It faded like the light after sunset.

Harsh, gut wrenching screams rang out from the cell. They were so loud and so painful that even Sam, the murderer of Sapnap, almost shed a tear. And with that, Sam left the blonde haired boy sobbing on the floor and gripping the lifeless hand of his best friend.

Later that night, Dream tried using the revival book, but couldn't. He was too close, too hurt by the loss of Sapnap that he couldn't do it. He couldn't. He tried over and over and over again, but nothing. And so he crumpled to the floor and wept until Sam came and finally removed the body of the dead raven haired boy.

As Dream picked up the handle of the sword, he whispered a faint, "I'll see you soon Pandas," and smiled as he plunged it into his heart and fell back into the wall of fire.

There was light. A lot of it. And then that light fades into a meadow of flowers and butterflies and his best friend sitting in the middle of it.

"Pandas?" Dream gasped and smiled and laughed so hard that tears fell. "Pandas!" And Dream started running.

But as he got closer and closer the raven haired boy started to fade. He started to crumble as if he was sand being swept away by the wind. Then he was gone. Dream was alone in a meadow with the flowers and butterflies but no Sapnap. Killing himself did nothing but leave him even more alone than he was before and standing in the middle of a meadow of flowers and butterflies.
