Chapter 23: What About Us?

Anna's POV: Today is July 29th at 8am. Yeah, I got up really early I guess.  I put my Tame Impala hoodie on and my Billie Eilish sweatpants on, and went downstairs. I did not care about my outfit today. I knew Gray and Ethan would freak out about my sweatshirt, they love Tame Impala. 

"Omg your sweatshirt", Gray yelled really loud. 

"Yeah I know", I said. 

"How", Ethan asked me. 

"My ex was really into Tame Impala, so I bought him a different sweatshirt and then I thought why not buy myself one", I said hoping Gray would not be jealous. 

"Oh, what about your pants", Gray asked. 

"My Billie Eilish pants, I loved her ever since Ocean Eyes. Her new album is great", I said.

"Cool", Ethan said.

I went to the kitchen to start making breakfast. Bryce is still asleep, I think he's going to the Sway House later for meetings. I turn my Taylor Swift playlist while I make breakfast. The twins came in and sat down. After two hours, I was done and woke up Bryce in the process. He was kind of mad at me for it, classic Bryce. After we ate, we all decided we did not want to go out and do anything. We went into the living and talked. 

"Bryce, are you okay", I asked him. Since he did not speak at all while we were eating and he usually does. 

"Yeah I'm good, just really nervous about the meetings", he said. 

"This is why I manage myself, haha", I said. 

"Wait, you manage everything yourself", Gray said. 

"Yeah, I like being independent. I don't want somebody to tell what I can and cannot do. I just feel trapped being like that. It's not good for my mental health either. I also like editing my own videos and getting them up when I want to, not on somebody else's terms", I said. 

"That's understandable", Ethan said. 

"Wait Bryce do you need to be at the meetings now", I asked him. 

"Oh shit yeah I do. I need a ride", Bryce said. 

"We will take you", I said.

It's 10am, I put on a better outfit than what I was wearing before. Gray and Ethan got ready as well. It was going to be an hour drive which I did not mind driving Bryce. We all got into my car with Bryce in the passenger seat and the twins in the backseat. When we got to his meeting place, we found out it was at a house. I could tell Bryce was planning something big for other creators to enjoy. When Bryce got out of the car, we all said bye to him. 

*time skip, 3pm*

I was on my phone and I get a text from Joshua Bassett. It was surprising, because we have not talked or seen each other since the coffee shop. I did not tell the twins I met him either. I was afraid that Gray may be jealous, just like how he was with Bryce. 

Josh: hey! it's been awhile. you probably forgot about me, it's fine if you did. 

Me: nope have not forgotten, just been really busy. 

Josh: yeah, with the show and the promo coming up. I've been busy as well.

Me: We can't meet up before I leave

Josh: You're leaving?!?!

Me: Yeah, I'm working as a tour manager for Little Mix in September-November, which means I'll be out of the country. 

Josh: Oh that's insane, congrats!

Me: I know. I'm excited, but really nervous. 

Josh: You'll do good! I have to go, see you later. I hate saying goodbye. 

Me: See you later :) 

After our conversation, I went on Twitter. Twitter was a scary place especially if you were an influencer. There's so many scandals and dramas that happen way too much on that app. I tweeted: big things are coming soon. I'm so excited for you guys to see what I have planned :). The twins wanted to go swimming in my pool. I did not want to swim, so I was going to make a dinner. 

*time skip, 7pm* 

Dinner took longer than what I expected. I cooked chicken for me because the twins are vegans and I have no idea what to cook for vegans, macaroni and cheese without regular milk because they're both apparently lactose tolerant, and green beans. The twins came in an hour ago. They sat at my kitchen table until I was done cooking. Man, I'm going to miss them when they're gone. I get their plates ready and serve it to them. 

"You know I'm gonna miss this", I say sitting down at the kitchen table. 

"Miss what", Gray said confusingly. 

"Miss you guys being here, and Bryce as well. The memories will forever be with me", I said. 

"Well, we do have two more days. We should go to Santa Monica Pier again", Ethan suggested. 

"Oh yeah we definitely should", Gray said.

"We should, yeah it'll make me happy", I said. 

We finished dinner and I cleaned everything up. The twins leave in two days, it makes me nervous. I have so many what if questions. Los Angeles people can be so fake, so it worries me when I go off into a different country and the twins might not talk to me. I'm sure it'll be fine, whatever happens, happens right? I sit on the couch where Gray is sitting. We really could of been a good couple. I look at him and then look back at the television. Too bad I have to leave in two months. Besides the fans would not let us. You know how much hate I would get. He would get hate as well, but probably not as much as me. Ethan gets up from the chair and goes into the bedroom he has been staying in upstairs. Well, that was kind of weird. 

"You know we do act as a couple", Gray said.

"Gray, I know. I'm sorry that I led you on like that. I really wish we could be, but I'm not ready yet. Don't say you'll wait for me either, because the universe will let me know when I'm ready", I said.

"Don't apologize, I led you on as well, going on all those dates. I'm sorry as well. Are you afraid of what the fans would say", he said. 

"Yeah, I am", I said. 

"I was afraid, I don't want you to get hate", he said. 

"I know. Alright, I'm going to my room. Goodnight, Gray", I said. 

"Goodnight, Anna", he said with a smile. I smiled as I was going upstairs to my bedroom. I know it was only 10 o'clock. I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. The more I thought, the more I kept tossing and turning. I would get up and go to the living room, but I don't want to bother Gray. I'll just stay here and close my damn eyes.
