I felt Lucius' eyes burn into my back as Draco and I walked away. I led Draco into the kitchen tonight, a fitting place for me to show an example of ingredient combinations. With each step I took, I searched for Narcissa. I hoped I would see her in a room on the way here. The Manor is huge so from the front door to the kitchen, I only saw maybe a fourth of the house. I refocused myself once we approached the kitchen. Draco and I set our bags on the island just like the other day. I watched as Draco took out all of his work.

"Okay, since you need extra help on potions let's just work on your other assignments first." I explained.

Draco nodded and got more things from his bags. He had astronomy and transfiguration again tonight.

"Do you have any questions as of right now, Draco?" I asked.

"Nope. I'll let you know when I do though." He went straight to his work.

I was quite surprised. He didn't complain or have any questions.

"Alright, let me check it over once you've finished." He nodded.

I just sat beside him and watched him work. He really is a smart kid, I just wish that he'd accept and embrace it rather than trying to get everyone to think he's a cool pureblood superior. But I guess only I get to see both sides of him.

I pushed that thought away and continued to watch Draco. Occasionally, he would pause and reread something or double check an answer but he didn't ask any questions. Until it came to transfigurations.

"Y/n?" Draco turned to me.

"Yeah?" I listened for his question.

"This question asks about the factors that affect transfiguration."

"Okay?"

"I don't get it."

"Let me see it." I looked the question over, "Oh, okay. Which one of these options that are listed, is not a factor that can affect the outcome of the spell?" I handed the parchment back to him.

"What's the answer?" He asked.

"I can't tell you Draco, you have to figure that out for yourself." He groaned.

"Fine. But how do I start the question?"

"Well, start by acknowledging the ones you know that for sure affect the out comes. When you have narrowed it down to two or three answers, think about what makes the most sense. The one that doesn't make sense at all is probably the correct answer." I explained.

"Okay. Thanks." He turned back to his work.

About a minute later, Draco turned to me and handed me the parchment.

"Is that right?" He asked.

I looked it over, "It is. Nicely done." I handed it back to him.

Draco silently went back to work. It was maybe two or three minutes later when I heard footsteps. They weren't too loud but since the house was silent and the only noises coming from Draco and I were the scratches of a quill, the footsteps were louder from the echo. In seconds, Lucius appeared at the door. He looked no different from the first night I was here, same look on his face and everything.

"I will be heading out for a little bit. I expect work to be continued when I am away."

"Where are you going?" Draco asked.

"It is none of your business. I am going out and your work will be completed when I return, Narcissa will remain here to ensure things are being completed." He stated, giving Draco a deep glare. Draco slumped in his seat, he only asked a simple question and he didn't deserve to be treated like that.
