Usually, I wake up to the sound of my blaring alarm clock. Not today. The feeling I was experiencing this morning is odd and I haven't quite felt it before. It was wet. I finally opened my eyes to see Venus on my chest, licking my cheek.

'Oh, gross.'

"Venus, off. Off, boy." I tried gently nudging him off my chest but it wasn't going too great, the little guy is strong. "Venus, come on! Off." He snapped at me but got off.

I looked at my alarm clock, I was confused as to why it hadn't gone off yet.

'7:30?! Ugh.'

"Really, Venus?! You couldn't have waited another 30 minutes?" I asked tiredly to my little friend.

I just laughed a little when he shook his head.

"Well, thanks. I'd rather wake up this way than with my alarm. Although, dragon slobber is ghastly." I laughed again when he did his little playful snap.

'I might as well get out of bed now.'

I threw off my covers and changed out of my pajamas. Since I woke up earlier today, I decided to finish up the work that I didn't get to last night. When I looked over what I had left, I was glad I was able to work on most of it last night.

In 20 minutes, I was done. And I was done before my alarm would've gone off. I got my work organized and put it in my bag. Just before I went for the door, there was a knock.

'Okay, I know I'm tired and I woke up earlier than before but am I going mad?! Merlin, please tell me I'm not hearing things now.'

I have no idea who could be here. I went to the door and opened it. I was surprised, to say the least. Just outside my door stood the mini Malfoy. Draco was here, I didn't think he'd want to talk with me after last night.

"Hello, Draco." I tried to cover my confusion but I'm not quite sure how well it worked.

"Hi, Y/n." Draco sounded tired too, "Father found out about the project and he owled me to tell you that we'll be at the Manor during the weekend."

'I completely forgot about that project.'

"Sounds like a plan. I'll meet you at your last class for apperation?"

"Okay, see you then. Have a good day." He turned away.

"You too!" I said loudly before he got too far from me.

I regathered myself and made my way to potions. I got to class even earlier than usual. I sat down in my seat and pulled out my textbook. I didn't do much else because there weren't any instructions to follow. Snape hadn't seen me either, or he didn't acknowledge me.

"Y/n," Snape spoke.

"Yes, Professor?" He finally raised his head to look at me.

"How is the tutoring going? Good, I presume?"

"Oh, uhm." I paused, thinking about everything that's happened since.

'I think it'd be better if I wasn't distracted and even better if Draco hadn't found out.'

I guess my behavior was strange and that plus my lack of an answer wasn't to Snape's satisfaction, because he tried to get in my mind. I shut him out, there's nothing in my head that he needs to know about.

"Things are going good so far," I said in a way for him to know I wasn't pleased with his attempt. "Draco's very smart. He just occasionally needs things rephrased, but he gets things relatively easily and quickly overall."
