Chapter XIX: Unbreakable Part II

Matthew, bleeding, is held by Frank.

"Hey, Red... C'mon... I'll... I'll get you outta here..."

"I'm fine... Frank... It's okay..." Matthew gasped, as his throat bled heavily.

He gasped his last breath.

"Mom..." sobbed Damian, bleeding in Diana's arms.

Cassandra is already dead, as her lifeless eyes stare back at Diana.

"Mom... it hurts..."

3 years ago...

A ball drops on the ground and bounces.

"Ow! Mom! It hurts!" sobbed Damian.

Cassandra is with Bruce playing with her iPhone on the bleachers.

"Is Damian okay!?" asked Bruce, yelling and standing up.

Diana smiles and gives him a thumbs up.

"Come on, baby... An Amazon never gives up..." smiled Diana.

Now...

"I'm... sorry... mommy..." Damian bled heavily in Diana's arms. "I can't... take... it..."

Damian turns to his father and sees what he's doing.

Diana wept as Damian gasps his last breath.

"Tell... Dad..."

Meanwhile...

Bruce blasts his punches at Stefan's face.

"Your Universe... cannot... will not exist..." said Stefan.

"Stop talking." Bruce bashes his iron fist into Stefan's face over and over.

Stefan, badly bruised and bleeding backs away from Bruce.

"I truly underestimated you, Batman..." growled Stefan. 

"I'm tired..."

*BOOM*

*SPLAT*

Blood splatters from Stefan's face.

"Why do you still fight me?" asked Stefan. "You know you can't kill me."

Bruce blasts his suit's fists into Stefan's face over and over.

"You have nothing, Bruce..." said Stefan. "Nothing... And here you are still forcing that idea in your stupid little head that you can still do something about me... That you still have a chance... The world lost its chance after what it did to me."

"You're right..." Bruce blasts his fists into Stefan's face. "The world doesn't deserve another chance. But it does need one.
That's why I'm back."

Bruce punched Stefan over and over.

"I am vengeance."

Bruce beats Stefan over and over.

"I am the night."

Stefan blasts Bruce's armor and successfully shoots through its chest as Bruce leaps upward from the suit's head. He then takes out his Kryptonite Brass Knuckles.

"I...!!!" Bruce punches Stefan each time he spoke a word with the Kryptonite Brass Knuckles. "AM...!!! BATMAN!!!"

Stefan trembled on the ground as he dropped down.

"You really fucked me up... Sadly... I wore down your armor..."

Bruce turns around and sees that his armor is already beaten and battered to the point of no return.

Bruce turns back to Stefan and squints his eyes.

"You think you're a hero... Bruce?" asked Stefan.

"I'm not a hero..." Bruce squinted his eyes. "That's why I'll kill you."

*clang*

*splat*

*clang! clang! clang! clang!*

*splat!!! splat!!!*

Stefan vomits blood as he trembles on his knees.

"No one... had ever... brought me down... on my knees... before... Not since... high school..." whispered Stefan. "You're... just like... the rest of them..."

"No... you are..." Bruce kicks Stefan over and over, breaking the bones in his foot.

"Mr. Wayne..." said Peter, panting. "Mr. Wayne... Could you please stop?"

Bruce kept on kicking Stefan in the face, ignoring Peter. Blood begins to splatter from his foot and drip on the ground.

"Mr. Wayne... Damian said something to Diana..." said Peter. "Diana told me to tell you what he said."

Bruce stops immediately and tries to control his footing.

"'Justice. Not vengeance.'"

Bruce's breath went shaky as tears flow down his face.

Bruce nearly drops to the ground.

Peter grabs Bruce's arm and wraps it around his shoulders.

"C'mon, Mr. Wayne. We have to find some guy named 'Miguel JoJo.'"

"We'll have three minutes," said Quill. "Before that Fortisite regenerates."

"It'll be okay, Mr. Wayne. I promise."

"Let's go..." said Bruce.

"Fuck this place..." said Peter, as he helps Bruce limp away.

Clark slowly stands up and prepares a Boom Tube.

"Barry?" asked Bruce.

"We can't find 'im," said Quill.

"Fuck..." said Bruce.

The last survivors of the battle teleport away into an unknown world...
