I wake up to an unknown face looking down at me. I glanced around the completely white room and didn't know where I was.
"Where am I a-and who are you?" I asked weakly.
"Calm down it's okay you're in the hospital, I'm the nurse," the lady said with caring eyes. My heart raced. I was panicking!
"Can you remember anything? Your name?" She asked kindly. I thought for a little and shook my head.
"I can't remember anything?!" I said breaking down.
"Shhh it's okay, everything will be okay," the nurse said soothingly while rubbing my back. After a few minutes I was ready to know the truth.
"Tell me everything," I whispered when the nurse came back with some coffee for me. She did. She told me everything. My parents were killed...not by the fire. A murder. He killed them, took our stuff, and set the house on fire when he was done. I don't have any other family which means I don't even have a home...how could someone be so cruel?
"Everything is gone," I sobbed, "my-my parents, my house, my memory."
"I swear honey your going to make it through this. There's a family coming by today, a nice one indeed. They want to adopt you," the nurse said with a smile on her face. I smiled faintly.
"I don't even know my name," I told her as she was getting up to do the rest of her nurse things. She looked at me and smiled.
"Then make one."
Something that means something to me. Usually you would try to forget that kind of day, but me. I need to remember it. Ash. My name will be Ash.

The nurse walked in with a married couple. They looked at me cheerfully and started introducing.
"Hi sweetie, how are you recovering?" The lady asked.
"Im okay, still a bit shocked and all," I said as politely as I could.
"Im Lisa Dolan, and this is my husband, Sean Dolan," she said.
"We're all really glad to have you join our family and we want you to feel as welcome as you can be," Sean said.
"Thanks," I laughed a little, "I'm Ash." The nurse perked her head at my name and gave me a flashy grin.
"And um who else is... you know?" I asked shyly.
"Oh we have three kids!" I was surprised at that. Three kids?!
"Yes our daughter is 17 and our two sons are 15. Around your age right?" They asked.
"Uhhh," I said quietly because I didn't know how old I was.
"Yes she's 14," the nurse suddenly burst in, "the firemen found some stuff that survived the fire and they found out when your birthday was." I smiled at her help and continued back with Mr. and Mrs. Dolan.
"Our daughter couldn't make it today she's in LA with her friends, but our sons are happy to meet you," they said smiling as they got up and walked out of the room. As the left, two identical boys walked into they room. 15 they said?! These boys look past puberty already!
"Hey," they both said at the same time. They sound past puberty too!
"Im Ethan."
"And Im Grayson."
"And we're the Dolan twins."
