Derek's mornings were now a routine. Every day he got up, kissed Addison on the cheek as she slept and headed over to Meredith's house to see his daughter. It was a good routine. One that he was getting used to and enjoying. Especially on days like this when he and Meredith kept the fighting to a minimum.
Now, as he got back to the hotel, he was in a good mood. A better mood than he had been in a while and he had extra pictures of his daughter and couldn't stop smiling.
"Hey you." Addison smiled, kicking her shoes off after working a long morning in the clinic. She came around the corner, looking at her boyfriend. "Enjoying your day off?"
"Yes....I am." Derek smiled as he took off his jacket.
"You're smiling...I'm guessing Meredith wasn't a complete Bitch." Addison sighed, immediately turnng and walking closer into their hotel suite.
"Addison..." Derek sighed. "Don't call her that."
"Well she's not an angel." Addison huffed.
"She's not a bitch."
"Okay fine, but you weren't exactly talking to nice about her last night." Addison sighed.
"Well...Today was different."
"Of course it was." Addison said, walking over to long mirror and adjusting her outfit. "What was different today?"
"It was just...different." Derek smiled, sitting on the end of the bed and taking the pictures that Meredith had given him out of his pocket.
"What are those pictures?" Addison asked, running a hand over her skirt.
"Just some stuff Meredith gave me."
"Oh cool." Addison frowned, turning around and checking the way her butt looked in the skirt. "And how is Emma?"
"Perfect." Derek smiled, looking down at the pictures. "Absolutely perfect."
"Did Meredith let you step a foot closer to her? Did she let you touch a toe?" Addison turned around, a hand on her hip.
"Actually...I got to watch her while Meredith was working on some stuff."
"Lucky you." Addison replied dryly, turning to look in the mirror again.
"I don't know how she does it." Derek sighed. "Med school...and Emma."
"Doesn't she have family and younger sisters? She probably pawns the baby off on them."
"Stop it Addison." Derek groaned.
"What?" Addison picked her Christian Louboutin heels off of the floor, not even looking up at Derek. "The woman hid a baby from you...she's not actually Mommy material."
"She's a great mother."
"Yeah." Addison groaned, turning around and tossing the shoes carelessly into the closet. "She's so great she lied to you...by never telling you that you had a precious baby and now she's controlling how you get to see your baby and raise her? Derek...she won't let you tell your mother yet! She doesn't let you alone with Emma because she doesn't trust you with her and she doesn't trust me with her."
"She trusts me with her." Derek breathed, believing it after he had gotten time alone wit her today.
"And your mother?" Addison asked, her tone raising.
"I'm going to tell her in due time."
"Well typically due time is you know...the pregnancy test...birth....but hey Meredith didn't get the memo."
