Unsurprisingly, the observation deck situated at the top of the iconic Marina Bay Sands was crowded. Several people were seen wearing red shirts of different designs and shades. And goodness, the camera flashes made X somewhat blinded.

She frowned as she was squeezed by the crowd. Thankfully, she was standing on the side of a flight of stairs leading to the upper floor of the observation deck, giving her a clear view of the scene before her without heads blocking her view. She leant forward against the railing, looking down at the sea people below her.

“Looks like everyone had the same idea to watch the fireworks from here,” she said, turning her head to look at her friend standing beside her.

Y was checking the time on his watch. He made a “Mrmhrm” sound to acknowledge that he was listening. The both of them were wearing red shirts with the words “I ♥ SG” printed on it, just like a couple of other people on the deck.

“We still have 15 minutes before the sunset.” Y said.

An: Yeesh I don't even have time to write a proper Author's Note.
