"Ranboo!" I heard

I got up from the floor and looked around, in a somewhat panicked state. I saw Cole crouched down where he was looking at me with a worried look on his face.

"You ok?" He asked "you kinda just collapsed and blanked out" he continued

"Yeah I'm- I'm uh I'm fine yeah" I stuttered

"Ok clearly not, what was on the phone?" He asked tilting his head ever so slightly.

"It's nothing" I said looking at the ground

"Come on man, we haven't known each other long but I can tell that somethings wrong. What is it, you can trust me" Cole smiled placing a hand on my back as he moved to my side of the booth which I had sat down in.

"Someone called me"

"Oh was it your mother? Does she want you back early?" Cole asked

"No no it's- it's not that" I sighed

"Oh...then what is it?"

"It's- it's... my ex"

Cole stayed quiet, "an ex huh?" He asked

"What's she like?" He asked.

I took a moment to respond, I didn't want to tell him about tubbo, I didn't want to tell him about my sexuality. Not yet.

"Yeah, they were very special to me" I smiled, thinking back to the fond memories tubbo and I had made.

"So what happened... if you don't mind me asking"

"Well they wanted to break up because we wouldn't have had any time together, they're going to ender high and it's pretty tight there apparently so they wouldn't ever be able to see me, so they broke up with me"

"That's a bit fucked up" Cole said

"Huh? What- what do you mean?" I asked looking at him

"Well sorry to say but... they didn't want to even attempt long distance? I mean I'm sure she was lucky to have you, you're a hot guy and you've got the height. If I was her I would've tried me absolute hardest to make it work. That's what real love would do anyway" he said, slowly getting quieter at the end.

"Have you ever felt real love Cole?"

"I thought I did once, every time I looked at them my heart stopped, and with each kiss I grew more in love. But then they cheated on me and discarded me like I was trash" Cole finished

"I'm- I'm so sorry Cole" I apologised placing my hand on his knee

"No it's fine. You live and you learn I guess" Cole sighed looking down at the floor, letting his head slowly fall onto my side

"Is this alright?" He asked

"Yeah, take as much time as you need"

"If I was that girl, I'd be trying to rekindle that relationship as hard as I can" he whispered

"Well they wanted me to move on so that's what I'm doing"

"Have you?"

"Pardon?"

"Have you moved on? From the girl? Anyone else catch your eye?"

"I think so" I smiled looking down at the boy resting on my side.
