The percy Jackson books are one of the sets I grew up with, obviously I've read all 16-17 of them and used to have the entire collection.
Books 1-5 are the main story, spanning the story about classic Greek mythology and Percy Jackson, the son of Posidon. These are fine, but honestly not my favorite books in the series.
My favorite books tell the story of the Roman counterparts of the characters in the original story, I find it much more lively and creative, not to mention I prefer the Roman gods over the Greek for the most part
Book series as a whole gets a 7/10, the original 5 alone get a 4/10 and the Roman story gets 9/10
