JJ huffed as he looked back up to the ceiling. For most of the night, he hasn't been able to get enough, well, any sleep. Aria was a light sleeper and she heard JJ groan.
Aria tiredly opened one of her eyes to see JJ looking annoyed staring at the roof. Aria sighed and moved onto her back.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," JJ whispered as Kie and Pope were still asleep. It had to be around 3 in the morning.
"Shut up, come here," Aria opened her arms for JJ. JJ moved so his head was laying on her chest she laced her arms around JJ's neck.
"Baby, before when you were asking about if we broke up, is that like a, um- like a sign... saying you want to," JJ asked softly, scared for the answer.
"No," Aria answered simply. "I'm scared, it just scares me how reliant I am of you,"
"Oh," JJ yawned. "Do you, I don't know, want a break or something?" JJ suggested.
"Hell no," Aria placed her hand in JJ's hair brushing through it knowing it will get him to fall asleep faster.
"Good, because I don't want a break either," JJ closed his eyes feeling her fingers brush against his scalp. JJ listened to her heartbeat and before he knew it, he was fast asleep.
"JJ?" Aria questioned to see if he was still awake. Once he didn't respond she knew he was fast asleep.
"I know how mad you got at yourself, JJ. For when you found out about my father and how you claim you never helped, but that's wrong, you helped the most. I would go to your house with a bruise growing underneath my shirt and you always let me in," Aria whispered she wanted to tell him all this but she was too scared.
Aria closed her eyes, still racking her fingers through JJ's blond locks, she heard his light snores and snuggled into his touch. He tightened this grip around her and she slowly fell back to sleep holding JJ.
...
The bright sun burst through the wreck windows waking JJ up in its path. He moved slightly and noticed he was laying between Aria's head and neck. He kissed her lightly and took off his red cap putting it over her face blocking out the sun.
JJ slowly got out of her grip and moved to stand against one of the pillars. It was around 6 in the morning and JJ was standing for half an hour until Pope woke up.
Pope looked over at Kie sleeping lightly then turned to Aria. He wondered why he couldn't be like Aria and JJ, but with Kie. It hurt him to admit that he wished he could have what they have.
Pope sighed and walked over to where JJ was flicking his lighter around his hands.
"He's pinched for sure, man," JJ spoke about John B.
"No. They wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him," Pope noted the distant police sirens.
"Let's hope," JJ wished.
"You know, we were in that car. They're probably looking for us, too." Kie shrugged as she was woken up by the booths talking.
"Everyone, shut up," Aria grumbled annoyed and forgetting the circumstances they were in. She moved to her side and JJ's hat fell off her face.
"Okay, wake up," JJ said to her as he took his hat back and moved her slightly so she woke up. She slapped his hand away.
"Well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help John B," Pope shrugged looking at JJ ignoring Kie and Aria.
"So, find him before they do?" JJ questioned. Aria huffed knowing she wasn't getting any more sleep and finally recognising the seriousness of the situation.
