1st pov

This is not how I planned this. All my planning that I did for the past week has gone to waste. I watched as all of the knights fought about something as we were stranded in the middle of nowhere. First let's track before this happened.

(a few hours before)

"Let's all welcome our guests and start the ceremony shall we?"

The magic king said, spreading out his arms. All of the captains looked at our small group. The tension in the air was thick. I nervously smiled and gave a small wave.

Julius started calling out names and praising them. I just stood in the corner with the others due to not getting promoted at the time.

Once that was all finished we were instructed to go into a different room where we would be blessed with beautiful food. To say the least it was good. The food was not so much.

"Izanagi, hey!"

I churned to see Leopold walking up to us with a smile. I smiled back and met him halfway.

"Leo, nice to see you again. How have you been?"

I asked him with a greeting. His face, like when we first met, went completely red. I spotted his older brother who was eyeing us. I could tell he was still thinking about the examination test. I would too. If a teenager who wasn't even trying still passed with flying colors, I would question why they chose a reject squad instead of a more well known one.

We talked about what missions we went on.

"You went on a mission to a dungeon?! That's so cool!"

Leopold said with starry eyes. I spotted one of Noelle's siblings with a cup of water.

"Stop right there. I know what you're about to do, so don't do it."

I said to them. The room went quiet and turned their attention to me. I was still looking at Leopold like we were still having your conversation. I turned around to face the culprit who churned out to be Solid. He was in the process of pouring water on his younger sister's head. I gave him a scary look. He tried to not seem scared but I can see right through it.

"Step away from my team mate."

I said to him. He smirked and proceeded to pour the liquid on her head. I gave a low growl at this and summoned a light monster that looked like a wound. Its body was a bluish white light with a light blue design. It's eyes were the color of sapphire that glowed in a dominant and threatening way.

It stood at a height of six feet when on all fours.

They would get in between the two siblings, in front of Noelle as if protecting her, and growled like it was ready to rip out Solid's jugular any minute. Solid slowly backed up with his hand up.

"Relax, it was only water."

He said finally reaching his other siblings.

"That's enough, now put that thing away."

Nozel said as if this was normal, and to be honest it kind of is. I mumbled something incoherent under my breath and deactivated my magic. Just then one of the guards threw open the door yelling about a magic attack. Asta as expected bolted out the door with Leopold not far behind. I tried to stop them but it fell to def ears as they were already gone.

The rest of us gathered around a table thanks to another magic knight who gave us the layout of the capital. I started getting inpatient. Somehow I got put with Klaus and his team.
